Hello there.
Could anyone give me some infomation Johnston Brothers (Gilcrux), as there seems to be very little info on them. I know they had a yard at Old Bothel Quarry and they ran around 10 Lorries (all Scania 111’s?). I think they diod some work for Thames Board at Siddick at one time?
What happened to Johnston’s.

Can anyone Help?

Hello There.
Dosen’t anyone like F Brown’s lorries of Cardewless?
Ater looking through the ■■■■■■■■ Companies Pages, I see no referance to Brown’s, a company who I belive, did the ■■■■■■■■ Trucking Scene a lot of good, just like Eddie Stobart did (and still does).
Come on, there must be someone with infomation on Browns and Photos.

And, a First for TruckNet UK, I’m posting a Browns Scania 4 Series Photo!

Was it Garners that delivered bagged flour etc to bakeries, including high street ones, from a shortish curtainsider? Always remember how smart that wagon looked but sad to say no pics…jim

I think you’ll find you will be wasting your time as there has hardly been any Marras or gadgy’s on the site.I can’t understand it my-self as there will no doubt be a vast amount of “craic” in ■■■■■■■ considering all the hauliers that have populated the county over many years.Maybe the lads are not computer literate(only just my-self) or are shy(I don’t think so!) anyway keep your fingers crossed mate you never know your luck!! I think you’ll find that Browns have appeared on the thread a few times but nothing special.Best of luck, you’ll need it!! Cheers Bewick.

hiya,
Just hope the driver was OK and had it been an 80 thingy it would have been a good end to it , I often felt like parking mine like that, just a shame it was a decent motor.
thanks harry long retired.

Hello.
Thankyou to everyone who got replied to my comments (mainly hodgeturbo and Bewick). The photos are great (except the Scania on it’s roof).
Does nobody like bulk tipper operater, Scotts of Maryport? I see no referance to them on here. I’m good friends with Mike Scott, owner of Scotts.
Does anyone have any of there lorries on camera from the 1970’s onwards?
I’ve got loads of there modern fleet (which I will put on at a later date).

Come on, lets get some Scott’s Lorries on Here!
