IIRC Jim’s nick name was “squeak” but I could be wrang eh! Didn’t Harry Fearon buy his 2 tanks when he packed in? they were contracted out of Marchon.Cheers Bewick.
I remember Fearons and O’Niels when I was in and out of Marchon.

If Marchon was still there Chris you could watch them with your "Periscope"from your armchair!! When James O’Niell started he ran loads of used 45 gal barrels from W/haven to Bristol and loads of re-conned ones back to Marchon.I don’t know what sort of carriers licence he had, then he got into bulk tankers. He had a mate who drove for Henry Cookes at Milnthorpe,Ted Johnstone, and James would occaisionally stay the odd weekend in Milnthorpe, big “suppers” I remember!!! I think they became mates while staying regular in Les Cook’s digs in Stone on the A38 north of Bristol.Cheers Dennis.

Hi
These trailers are at what was then Bowater scotts northfleet mill (now kimberley clark) on the side of the river Thames which had blown over a 15.6feet tautliner and then knocked the other over.
