Dear oh! dear we’ve got the wrong end of the stick again Lads regarding my previous post,there sure are some touchy buggers on TN.In order to clarify the point I was making was merely the comparison between “CG” “to-day” and me when I was his age can I further say.For the sake of neutrality lets assume “CG” spots W.H. Malcolm or Pollocks Scotrans :open_mouth: so that is as close as he gets to the transport world as “a spotter”.Well at his age I was working anywhere from 70 and up to (sometimes) 100 hrs a week as a trailer mate and don’t get me wrong there was plenty of others in the job doing similar hours so I’m not blowing my own trumpet but merely stating how things were during that era.Can I also demolish another misconception,I have no axe to grind against “fast eddie” and never have had,they didn’t bother Bewick Transport ever,besides the fact that as we were mainly Paper hauliers and we used flat platforms and,dare I utter the words,sheets and ropes :blush: I wasn’t aware that “fast eddie” operated flats so that may account for our paths never crossing :smiley: However we did start to build up our tautliner fleet quite considerably from the mid 80’s but still the last new flats joined the fleet in 1990 as a lot of our paper traffic still required flat platforms.With regard to my comment about Curtain Pullers and steering wheel jockeys well that seems to be about the kindest description from what I see to-day.To-days drivers can’t go to the toilet unless they ask permission and even VOSA take the view that a driver requires to be instructed how to secure a load inside a curtainsider.In my day load security was solely the responsibility of the driver and if it fell off into the road the driver got done ! The Ministry of Transport (as it was then) didn’t go about trying to tell drivers of yesteryear how to do their jobs ! :open_mouth:Now can I refer you to “H”'s post and lets keep things light and not “take a powder” when the dreaded name of “the fast one” pops up eh!What a grand day,it’s sun shining here now what can I do ? So Mr Bewick thinks there is a lot of touchy buggers on here, aye maybe you are right but the majority see you and your mate for what you are, a couple of bullying sarcastic people. Nearly every thread on this OLD LORRIES FORUM eventually see’s you managing to get BEWICK into it going by the number of Bewick photos you must have had a bigger fleet than Stobart. You need to need to calm down you only had a few wagons there is a lot of other folk had a haulage business but don’t feel the need to ram it down every poor buggers throat. Eddie.

You and your mate amerindo (who I am convinced is an alias for another member on here) seem to have a misguided view on what is bullying and what is a wind up, especially when you give sarcasm as an example of what you perceive to be bullying, maybe you have led a sheltered life and wouldn’t know REAL verbal psychological bullying if it bit you on the arse…who knows…who cares.
So why not just knock it on the head and get back to photos, comments,info and dare I say it banter and wind ups, what do YOU say CG errr… sorry amerindo :wink:

It’s just this bullying b/s is getting a bit tiresome especially when it has been explained and refuted by those involved and not involved, but repeatedly ignored by yourself and a couple of others.

This Roy Cattleman can often be seen at shows etc with his models, he is a big fella, but one day he will meet someone harder then he is. Like I say I’ve seen him a few times, The banter he aims at various members on here is inappropiate, I don’t like him.

I’m just about sick to death of this reading the load of s**** on here so its about time, despite me saying a short time about it was my last post, I feel I need to speak up again!!!

Right, I am going to explain my story about been bullied by email to everyone

The Trucknet member in question (which may I add thanks to Trucknet and my Email providers help has now Stopped :smiley: !!) started to be friendly to me and PM’d me regarding Stobarts and he “claimed” to be an ex Stobart driver, really liked the company and was passionate about them and was interested in sharing photos of wagons I had and that he had

I then gave him my email and after a few decent emails the truth came out. He was not an ex ESL driver, he hated them, he was an a****** and he just wanted to abuse me verbally and mentally!!
I thought I knew this person as we had been PM’ing each other for over two months before I gave out my email :confused:

My post was not for sympathy, I didn’t do it for that at all :slight_smile: , I was trying to make others know of this kind of thing going on!!

Why would I want sympathy :confused: ■■? I knew I would not much sympathy on here anyway as this certainly isn’t the right place to get it from as most of the members on here are bullies and like to bully other people so they are not going to sympathise with someone who has been bullied!!!

And judging from reading others posts, I’m not getting much of certain members of this forum although I would like to thank the members who have kindly given me support and have messaged me on here and Facebook with support. I have had 30 messages and counting of support and I didn’t ask for this and its very kind of you so Thankyou :smiley:

People who have posted messages which are not of a kind nature do not seem to understand the problems I was undergoing.
For the one who posted “why didn’t he tell his dad”, well yes I did for a matter of fact but what the hell can he do about me getting 30 emails a day of some abusive person with no block buttom to stop it all!!!

I have had to fight to stop the abuse and I’m pleased to say I’m not getting it any more and this has only happened in the past 24 hours

Neil, you talk a lot of sense :slight_smile: Yes, where is CWM?? He seems to hide as soon as their is any comments which aren’t nice about him but he does not think twice about making nasty comments about others!!

Ok, CWM is not a bad man (and I’m sure would cause no one any harm) but his comments to me and others on Trucknet are inappropriate, uncalled for and turn threads “sour”

Sadly, CWM is not the only person on here doing it and I’m pleased to say Mr CWM is not the worst I have come across on here and his banter is “light” compared with what I experienced via email!

Well I’m gonna have to park up then mate.
There are 2 separate issues here, the bully accusations on T.net( which I still stand by is not so,) and the accusations about the e.mails, which up to CG’s post was an unknown quantity.
If he did get relentless hate e.mails then he has a point it is definitely out of order end of.
But as I have said there is a vast difference between what has been posted on TN and what has been reportedly e.mailed by the guy, who would appear to have a problem with the young lad.
I would suggest CG has a re.think on this, instead of chucking bullying accusations casually at the drop of a hat which are both serious and insulting I would imagine to those involved.
Speaking as one that has stuck up for him in the past, I would be a bit ■■■■■■ if he included me in the majority he speaks of just because I have disagreed with him on this, but seeing as he looks upon criticism and honest speaking as bullying I ain’t so sure.
I admit I have been posting and prolonging this subject, but let’s hope it is now the end of this ■■■■.
