Does anyone remember a firm from Longtown called Jos Millican (Penton) Ltd they had 70 Volvos and ERF’s.

I can recall Jos. Millican LAD Reivers running down through Kendal in the very early 60’s with load after load of pulp wood from the Kielder enroute to Bowaters newsprint Mill at Ellesmere Port. Bewick.

Hi Bewick,
In my younger days, when hauling pulpwood to Bowaters in my Albion Reiver to Ellesmere Port from south wales I used to meet drivers from Scotland and ■■■■■■■ especially the Millicans with their Reivers. Those were the good old days.—I will be 65 in few weeks time.

To hodgeturbo …: I,ve only ever been on Facebook once in my life when the " ■■■■■■■■ trucks" section on there was pointed out to me by my daughter who is on Facebook all the time :unamused: , the photo that I nicked was of an old mates motor D.Sisson DAF, of which I have enquired about before on here, so when I did see it I put it on,(… and incidentally admitted to nicking it) but if your comment was aimed at me, and the photo was yours, I can only apologise for ■■■■■■■ you off about it. this 111 ended life with j c hope of gosforth when on route to stranrear for the boat .the driver at the time was cloin crikett who now fits for superdeck .colin had been stopped south of dumfries by the police asking him if he had seen anything of a stray cow ! colins reply was no so off he went and not to much further up the road he found the cow mm stuck to the front of the 111 shunting the cab back to far for economical repair .so was replaced at the time with the only thing that grahams at carlise could get hold of witch was a 112m wendy house twin steer .

I have seen a lot of mine on e-bay and have had some removed plus Flickr is full of them and they keep turning up on here but I know it is my own fault for putting them on the web in the first place. I have started marking them now so at least they can’t be sold. Here are a couple of ■■■■■■■■ names now long gone.

hi truckfing
how do you put that on your pics
:unamused:

 i,ve had some on this very thread, but i know that the guy who posted one of them accepted the copy in good faith from a 3rd party, , it goes on, i think if they have to be dishonest about a wagon photo, they have a very sad life :open_mouth:
