Hi Robroy, your description of Sandy is perfect and the way he spoke just to charm you into lifting up the sheet for him, I can visualise the scene no bother. Yes he went on to run a big operation pressure washing during the foot & mouth epidemic while operating coaches at the same time. He adopted a large red letter S as his trade mark just the same as that printed on Big S soap powder cartons produced at Marchon many years ago for the Scandinavian market. This was carried through to his funeral when a replica Big Red S wreath was carried on his coffin.
RIP Sandy, truly a character.
Cheers Leyland 600.

Hodgeturbo, caught on camera near Wheyrigg on Mon 28th July. Was it you driving and what was on Paul ? I met a good number of tippers heading back to Wigton, Fosters, Carruthers and yours. They appeared to be coming from the Southerfield area as I saw one turn out at Swinsty on my way back from Silloth.

I managed to get a closer view of Hodge’s '05 plate in Innovia this morning, van was parked and heard something go past, looked out and it was there :open_mouth:

Noticed lately Harrison’s have some nice unit
