Come Eddie get a life and lighten up, there was never, nor will there ever be, any malice intended in any craic we make, even about “CG” after all,I don’t know about the firms you worked for but our operation, along with many others I could name. thrived on craic and banter, and it was never taken seriously.Obviously the industry that we inhabited has not only changed for the worse operationally but it appears to be now devoid of the aforesaid craic and banter among the drivers.Am I glad to be no longer involved, what a dull place it must now be to work in Bewick.

■■■■■■■ COMPANIES used to be one of the best threads on trucknet but of late it has sadly gone downhill with too many posts that don’t have anything to do with trucks or companies there is the BULLYS BAR thread which would be more appropriate for these posts. Eddie.
it seems to revolve around bewick. Terribly boring.
hiya,
■■■■■■■ ? Bewick ? it’s all relevant to me it’s interesting, sorry, and good fun.
thanks harry, long retired.
Well “H” and CWM,it looks like we have got on the wrong side of the TN thought police Sadly,we are from another time and place and our “banter and craic” is now very un-PC Can we change ? will we change ? will we [zb] like! Cheers Dennis.
I AM A ■■■■■■■■ HAULIER , and I think the extraction of the water from our peers is the norm , so if you don’t like it you don’t like ■■■■■■■■ haulage!
Ps , I saw cwm the other day and tried to run run him over but I value my Kelsa bar to much

They’d have “struck” a medal for you in’t Dales if you’d managed to remove that “annoyance” from the area “Strawgalore” Cheers Bewick
Hi Bewick, Now this is a driver who has done a mile or two first with Snowball as seen here, then Billy Pattinson, Jim Lawson and our old mate RWB until retirement and a good mate of mine accompanying me to the Long Haul Club last night. Seeing those old Leyland Motors films last night had him itching to get behind the wheel of an Octopus or a Steer. PS Have you not got a better photo than this ?
Cheers Leyland 600.
It appears that , along with “Bewick” , weve ruffled a few feathers along the way . :unamused:  Never mind , but at least since "■■■■■■■■ Gill" has found a lass , he hasnt been making as many mistakes on TNUK .
I applaud him for now having graduated to posting more-sensible trivia. One only has to read his postings of a year ago
to see that he`s now maturing .
Right-ho , lads , heres a photograph of a newer ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Volvo . But ,..........will I be now upsetting "nelly-whatshisname" , because he berates anyone who posts modern wagons . By the way ,.......whats happened to him ■■ Not even a squeak from him for a while now .
M. & N. Garner were displaying a couple of tractor units at Truckfest Scotland a few years ago .
After having uncoupled the trailer , the driver is seen checking over before making his way to the arena.

Hiya L600,are we talking about the same gadgy here ? Cheers Bewick.
Hi Bewick, You are right I have this photo plus another of my mate who was a lot younger then taken some 53 + years ago. HTT is his uncle I think. My mate who was working at Stampers on an ERF fell heir to the Steer when Harry left Stampers and started his own business, The family resemblance caused my confusion.
Cheers Leyland 600
Although no mention on TNUK this weekend , it was reported on our ITV Border News , that Stobarts planning development of Carlisle Airport has been thrown out . Planning permission was given a while back for Stobart to part- change the use of the Airport land , but the local farmer has since lodged a successful appeal against the go-ahead. Thats all that has been mentioned on Border TV, so maybe Tinky & Willie might again threaten to throw their toys out their
double pram if the farmer gets his way .
Nowt has been mentioned in yesterdays ■■■■■■■■■■ & Westmorland Herald newspaper . Maybe tomorrows “News & Star” could
be publishing the fuller story.
This is where the Stobby Sleuth “■■■■■■■■ Gill” might be in-the-know of the juicy bits , ahead of the Press.

Cheers , cattle wagon man.
Oh ffs will someone please shoot that bloody farmer already, the guys single handidly just lost the area a good number of jobs, as well as threatened a ■■■■ sight more in the future, as Stobarts have already said they’d have to re evalutate their workload in ■■■■■■■ if the airport never went ahead.
It’s morons like him that keep us from any real development
Hi “Dew” ,
By `eck , but those bread rolls you deliver must be good for your brain to find the “News & Star” report so soon.
However , the err side to the Planning Application is that this is yet another trick by Tinky & Willie to bulldoze their way
through life without consideration for the truth , and respect for existing neighbouring landowners .
With the recent turbulence regarding the Stobart sale/retention/changes , maybe more worms will be uncovered .
Maybe someone can supply some details regarding this photograph I took a few years ago , please .
I can not remember the location , but it was either Scorton (Lancashire) , or Hethersgill , Carlisle , Vintage Rally.
I seem to think the Atkinson formerly belonged to a ■■■■■■■■ operator , - Edenhall , perhaps ■■
Also , has any restoration been carried out by the current owner ?

Bewick I don’t need to get a life I have had a good one and had laughs and jokes along the way. But have never had to resort to taking the P–. out of anybody. But if you and your few friends on here consider its normal well so be it. Eddie.

I wouldn’t worry about them Eddie. They obviously haven’t seen the fine models you make and also the photo’s you have posted over the years.
I give and take the P— myself, but I don’t resort to constantly ridiculing a young member like Bewick and Cattle Wagon Man have. Its not just a bit of craic and banter. Its a couple of keyboard warriors constantly picking on a young bloke who is a fan of lorries who doesn’t deserve to be treated as a figure of fun,by two old men who should know better.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Being an Eddie spotter is an open door to ridicule methinks and to admit
to trying to get his “birds moniker” on a “green horror” just says it all, Oh’
and I’m contemplating changing my surname.
thanks harry, long retired.
Without wishing to cause any offence , it must be noted that “■■■■■■■■ Gill” did create some howlers of ignorance
in his earlier postings . He needed to be corrected by those who could explain his errors. It took a long while before he changed to typing
nearer factual entries rather than his own fantasies.
I have already previously stated that “C.G.” has recently improved upon his postings , which are now of a nearer-sensible content .
Also , I congratulate him on now having found company of the female form, and wish both of them well.
I am well aware that “Dave the Renegade” is fully supporting “C.G.” as a way of back-stabbing both “Bewick” and myself .
He has already made that perfectly clear , on here and on other threads too.
I have not posted any retaliatory venom , only give-and-take banter and correction to those needed. Although I have had some personal attacks , I chose to abate from certain threads as a way to allow the perpetrator cool down rather than chuck it back.
Look at what “nelly1972” ( or summat similar ) directed to me at the end of last year . He`s never even posted a single photograph on TNUK,
but degradingly criticises the photographs that many of us have displayed. We still await his showing of valuable ■■■■■■■ photographs .
I am accused of , quote : " wasting what was a good thread ".
Does my contribution of many ■■■■■■■■ hauliers` photographs ( both old and recent/new ) cause the “wasting” , “ERFGuy” ?
Just as “D.T.R.” is proud of his (choice) Labour stance , I am proud of my Yorkshire (born) and (now) ■■■■■■■ heritage.
