■■■■■■■ COMPANIES used to be one of the best threads on trucknet but of late it has sadly gone downhill with too many posts that don’t have anything to do with trucks or companies there is the BULLYS BAR thread which would be more appropriate for these posts. Eddie.
Normal service has been resumed . We`re back on swing now , “ERFGuy” .

Stevie B71:
Just found your site whilst looking for some J & W Watt photos, my old man drove for them in the seventies, doing international work out of Vivers of Dornock. He then went on to work for a company from Newark (with whom I started driving for at 21, and then on to Stobarts in 92/93)Reading quite a few of the posts on here, it annoys me the amount of [zb] Stobarts drivers get, I’ve been there, and still do casual weekend driving for them, granted some of the idiots that do come on here saying how good Stobbies are ill informed, but there no different to driving for anyone else, you get in start up, select a gear, hand brake off, mirror, signal, manoeuvre and drive…
Keep up the good work, and if anyone has any J & W Watt photos, it would be appreciated.
your old man ■■? Jimmy Butler ■■?

Can I just ask something, why am I one of the main topics on this thread??Surely its all about trucks not me!!!
Maybe you should set up a dedicated thread for me so that you can take the p*** out of me there!!
Kindest regards
CGThere are a lot more Trucknet members spending their time on Facebook these days CG. A lot of good lorry threads on there with good photo’s etc. You will find a lot of the older familiar names off these forums on there.
Cheers Dave.
Well Dave most of the time there is more stuff about the wagons than other people!!
Well keep your eyes out for me as I am on Facebook
Kindest regards
CG

You brought Rabbie Burns into the thread. I’m sure he wouldn’t have been as sarcastic with young members, as you and your mate CWM.
As Eddie ERF guy said, this used to be a good thread

Well “H” and CWM,it looks like we have got on the wrong side of the TN thought police Sadly,we are from another time and place and our “banter and craic” is now very un-PC
Can we change ? will we change ? will we ■■■■■■■ like!
Cheers Dennis.
As far as I am concerned CG was more to be praised than made a fool of how many young folk are on here not to many I think so encouragement is needed not some smartalecs taking the P— . CG showed a lot more patience than I could had I been him I rather think I would have pulled the plug long before now. Worse is the fact that the two main offenders were ex business men who at their age should really know better. Eddie.
OK,back to what it says “on the tin” Any comments on this great old shot,or is it may-be a little too old for some of our younger members ?
