Hi “■■■■■■■■ Gill” ,
By what weve all been seeing on T.V. and reading in the Press/TNUK., etc., youll have to hurry for your lasss name on a Stobart cab. Maybe it wont be long before all the fleet are re-named “Fifi” ,… and in Nobby Dressingtable`s colours.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
Well actually CWM, yes I have approached Stobart’s to name a truck and they have accepted my request
And anyway, Stobart’s will never die so we’ll see it on one of the green army soon!!

I applaud your confidence “CG”,but don’t hold your breath, bigger names than “fast eddie” have disappeared over the years without trace ! Bewick.

Bewick, It will never go under marra and it will be around for a lot of years to come unless one of the foreign swines buy them out!!
Going back a few years , this Scania was photographed at the Kirkby Stephen & Brough Easter Rally.
I do not know if it still belongs to the Chappelhow family , but at one time operated a couple of Scanias on general haulage.
Perhaps “Klunkcumbria” might be able to suppkly more details , please .

Your saying one thing “CG” then immediately saying the opposite,“fast eddie” has already started down the road to corperate oblivion by selling 51% of the main business, retaining their rights to the brand name fair enough but I’ll bet you the haulage fleet will be swallowed up within 2 or 3 years and the name will disappear as far as the transport world is concerned.Anyway,I’ll give you top marks for the blind faith you have, you should be contacting Nobby Dentrasong or DHL or similar for a fleet list as some of “fast eddies” fleet might end up in their hands in the near future, cheers Bewick.
I agree with you dennis no offence to cg this has been coming for a long time I always compare stobarts to the old brs years ago when nationalisation was the trend and they monopolised the industry and failed miserably cheers rob
Maybe the Waverton Wizard , also known as “■■■■■■■■ Gill” , can answer if this Scania was previously owned
by the fast eddies of Carlisle.
A.Winder & Son , Ravenstonedale , Kirkby Stephen , were showing the clean and tidy Scania at Barnard Castle Truck Show ,
and the year was ,- I think - , 2008.
Metcalfe Bros., of Sedbergh & Kendal`s Volvo FM tipper.
I think the cab has been repainted , and with their name on it , since I took this photograph , about 3 years ago.

Can I just ask something, why am I one of the main topics on this thread??
Surely its all about trucks not me!!!
Maybe you should set up a dedicated thread for me so that you can take the p*** out of me there!!
Kindest regards
CG
There are a lot more Trucknet members spending their time on Facebook these days CG. A lot of good lorry threads on there with good photo’s etc. You will find a lot of the older familiar names off these forums on there.
Cheers Dave.
