She may not be an Eddie Spotter ,…so she might (hopefully  ) change your hobby to something more adventurous. :unamused: :unamused: :bulb:
Possibly this explains why the “Waverton One” has not been spending much recent time on TNUK.

All the best , and cheers, cattle wagon man.

I daresay they could dew especially if they get the battery leads crossed !!!

Hiya,
Talking electric cars as you know they are produced at the Nissan Factory which is only
a short distance from where I live, for curiosity I did a comparison with my 1.6 petrol
engined job and although my car costs £260 a year to tax the leccy job being tax free
the insurance would be the same but the cost of the battery rental is prohibitive and
would cost me more to run than I currently spend on petrol and taking all costs into
consideration I’ve worked it out I’d be about £17 a month worse off, it just goes to
show you do have to read the small print.
thanks harry, long retired.

Plus the fact “H” there is no mention of all the ■■■■■ pumped out from a coal fired power station producing the leccy to power these “enviromentally clean” cars,as you quite rightly percieved “H” it’s total bollox and just a “green lobby” con eh! Cheers Dennis.

Aye Dennis ansd Harry the green lobby is a waste of money, only yesterday it was announced that plans for a new wood burning power station at Blyth have been scrapped as the developers appear to have got cold feet. It is only 20 years or so ago that the large coal fired power station at Blyth sitting on millions of tons of coal was scrapped despite only having been built in the 1960s. Another question regarding wood burners, how many years will it be until we run out of trees to burn ■■? then what, back to coal ?

Cheers Leyland 600

The power stations used to be built near the coal mines but the wood must do thousands of miles before getting burnt. I believe a lot of it comes from Canada so how can it be cleaner than coal when everything is taken into account?

The CO2 outputs for 2010. Imagine how much tax the poor Chinese and Americans must be
paying---- or is it just us. It is all a con. One volcano can produce all this in a day.

hiya,
The rear of my house overlooks the East Coast main line ( not close enough to cause
discomfort) and regularly see full trains of coal heading toward Newcastle, it comes
from Hull docks or so I’ve been told, whatever happened to the saying "it’s like taking
coal to Newcastle we still have huge reserves of coal up here and I believe this stuff
is bought from Poland Oh’ that woman has a lot to answer for and aren’t they going to
name an August bank holiday after her, that’ll go down well in the former pit villages
in this area and there’s lots of them, the villages are still there but there’s no pits.
