Has any of you any idea if TC wold be satisfied with CPC obtained in another EU country as a proof of professional competence? As it is a EU requirement other countries do courses and exam just like OCR in here. Exam is exactly the same, 2 parts, 2h each, multiple choice, case study etc. The difference is the price. In Poland ie such course cost about 300 quid with exam fees included. I just wonder what would Mr/Mrs TC said if I laid a Polish CPC in front of him/her (translated into English by a sworn interpreter )
Why do you consider to do the Operator CPC in Poland if you can pass the exams in the UK as easily as in Poland.
If I did it then everybody must do it .
The exams and books from eBay and Amazon cost me about £300 plus information from the forum especially published by DieselDave about ADR.
I asked the OCR for colleges where I can booked the exams and I directly booked it and passed at first attempt.
I don’t know if you are talking about getting a Polish CPC holder to act as your TM, but if you mean you are thinking of doing this yourself then one teensie-weensie problem I could see would be that the CPC paper would be written in Polish.
The paper would be in Polish so I’d have to get it translated (probably by sworn interpreter). Passing rate here in UK varies from 35 to about 60%. Above 90% in PL. And in Poland exams are every week. Not just 4 times a year.

OK well here’s a sample question from the Polish CPC exam, what’s the answer?

It is. But the point is that if you take the CPC in Poland, the CPC paper will be in Polish. However, if you are Polish, or speak fluent Polish then yes, the CPC would be valid in the UK.
the original certificate would be in Polish and it would have to be translated but not to hide the fact that it was obtained in Poland but to make TC able to understand what the document certify for.

I don’t think it would. It would have the Qualification accreditation number 100/5402/9 (or whatever it is under the latest CPC system) printed on it so VOSA would know exactly what it was. However, if you phone VOSA at Leeds I’m sure they would tell you, in my experience they are very helpful
Nolan:
well… it was not grammatically correct… but made sens to me so I was able do give an answer ;>
So you pass ,I failed
Maybe it is the reson why you prefer course and exams in Polish and I prefer them in English .
Regards
I don’t prefer course and exams in Polish but in POLAND. not because they are in Polish but because they are cheaper and because if I don’t pass in March I don’t need to wait until June for a second go.

forgive me if I get it wrong, but are you saying that because it would have accreditation number and VOSA’d know what it is it would’t even have to be translated into English?

The scan in the first post I made states the requirements and doesn’t mention that a translation is required. The Qualification accreditation number for a CPC is 100/5402/9 and this number will be printed on all CPC certificates issued throughout the eu so I can’t really see why VOSA would need it translated. It’s a bit like an eu driving licence, I wouldn’t need to carry a translation of my English language driving licence in Poland, it’s an internationally recognised certificate.
