Back on topic the majority of elderly people I have spoken think that they should be sheltered but allow the rest of society to continue as best it can, if things continue there will be no money for their care or health and so will be likely to die prematurely anyway.
An awful lot of elderly people have some form of dementia which make rog’s statement even more pathetic. An awful lot are in private homes which are extremely expensive but some are run more for profit than care.The way some are treated is disgusting by management and staff and the Care Commision have a lot do answer for in some cases.

Problem with charts is they can be interpreted in different ways. So for your graph that clearly shows its schools to blame theres information that counters in the form of charts detailing positive test results by ages showing that there’s been little increase in positive cases of school age children.
Going by that its us that is driving the infection so maybe we should all sack work off for a bit? I’d be up for that

I asked her what she would do if still in that job and by keeping schools open it would mean losing half her residents to the virus
She replied - let it loose and lose 20 residents because the elderly do not want to be in the position they are in right now - they would rather be dead than have little or no ‘life’ - she knows exactly what they think!Really? Going to pubs etc, keeping them open and the economy going would be possible if reasonable precautions were taken. Pulling a pint, without a mask, doesn’t look sensible as the barkeeper is breathing all over the beer. Handling glasses etc that others put to their lips.
