I recently had my car insurance renewal quote from the above, and it was around £30 higher than last year, so i did as i always do get a quote using one of the comparison sites, and got a quote with like for like cover excesses ect for over£100 lower, So i asked cornmarket if they would match that price which after verifying it they agreed to do this, I then explained that the car is due for MOT around the time the current insurance expires
So i thought it prudent to hang fire on buying a new policy until i had the result of the MOT , to avoid paying insurance on a car that is off the road and as well as avoiding the possibility of fees to amend the policy cover should i change vehicles
So even though they were made aware of this they have been ringing my landlines every day Mon-Fri since, a was home when they called the other day and again advises that the situation that i still gad to book the car in for an MOT, and would get back to them , yet they are still ringing,Done a google on their number and it has history as a telepest
When i spoke to the guy the other day the price had gone up by £2,lol i also notice that they now charge for debit card transactions too £1.
Has anyone else had this type of harassment from them
Have had fairly good service form them they have called a couple times but when told the situation they have left me alone & there number alway comes up on the screen
Never had problems like that. They’ve always called when they’ve been asked to and I’ve always been left alone the rest of the time.
Is just like to add that after a non fault accident they were massively helpful and got involved helping me with my own and the third parties insurers when they didn’t need to.

Thanks, thats good to know, non of them have any trouble taking your dosh, it’s doing summat for it that seems to be the problem.
Another thing though not that important, after reading through my old e-mails i have one from the IAM re the affiliate membership that you got with Adelaide which is basically advising that my membership had expired and they where asking for £15 to renew for another 12mths, unless I’m mistaken didn’t they include this membership with insurance, each year as part of being able to offer a lower price?, and when i think about it i haven’t received the Free IAM magazine for a long time years i think, So i wonder if things got changed when it got re branded to cornmarket?
Sent my motorcycle policy back without reason
Cancelled
■■■■ kickers still bombard me with phone calls/text messages/emails every renewel time, but they’ll never see a penny of my money.
Great price as new customer with them smashed all other quotes out the water but very expensive on renewal gave this excuse then that excuse wouldn’t match any other lower quotes I got constant phone calls from Belfast and e-mails very pushy glad some of you had good experience with them but I wouldn’t reccomend them
I’m using them this year. Beat existing quote by about £35. They were keen on getting the business it seemed. If I said leave it a week they literally ring back in 1 week to the hour pretty much! I found the debit card charge a bit of a con…only £1 but do I recall there is no way to actually pay without a fee? In that case the premium they give is a little bit naughty…
They have insured me through something called KGM I think. Don’t have worries about cornmarket but the things on the internet worry me about KGM…although I suppose they are probably no worse than any other.
I believe that they are one of the few companies that let you give driving tuition to your own of spring.I asked my present insurers about this point but they didnt know what I was talking about.

Have you renewed your IAM Membership annually(£34 something) as my magazine comes direct from them not Adelaide,
I think Surety comes as part of IAM benefits not a free standing benefit from Adelaide.

I have used them for insurance since 2012 i received a free IAM Affiliate Membership via “IAM LGV Affiliate Membership Programme” which was for 1 yr, 2013/14 they wanted £15 to renew it, So it would appear that it is only available to new customers,(new customer only con)

So your not actually an IAM Full Member only an Affiliate not having taken the IAM Commercial Driving Test /Course and pay the Full renewal each year, could be the difference
The only nuisance calls I get are about ppi and they only started after I sent my ppi application away to the bank itself with my correct number. So I’d put my hat somebody at that bank sells phone numbers to data firms. It was way too much of a coincidence.
Anyway got 4.5k off the wallopers, so it’s worth the nuisance callers now and again.
When i spoke to the guy the other day the price had gone up by £2,lol
You laugh out loud when prices go up? How odd , what do you do when you make a saving?
They beat my quote by the princely sum of ten pounds but threw in windscreen ins , protected ncb and drivers legal protection so all in all it was a good deal.

Love these ringing me when I’m bored, tell them for sure I had a 20k loan that had PPI because I was told it had to ect ect
Go through all the questions while they tap away exitidly on there computer thinking they are in for a big pay day then right at the end when they ask for my address I ask them what they want that for, when they say for your PPI claim I tell them I’ve never had a loan or PPI they must of got me confused with someone else

i was being sarcastic, first they quote me a rip off price then after i found a cheaper quote they agree to only match it not beat it , i tell them that i won’t be renewing just yet as car needs its MOT and i will call them when ready to renew , they keep ringing every weekday, i was in one day they called, spoke with them as per previous arrangements and the price had jumped up by £2,maybe it was for them phoning every day,
Most insurers are not competitive with renewal quotes I’ve been with them two years and had to call with a lower quote this year to get them to beat it.
They don’t charge interest if you pay monthly like some insurance company’s too.
Never been harased by them they asked for home insurance renewal date and got a call about that but the other halfs bank beat them by a good bit on price.
