Angus25:
From my exspeance horse box drivers I had to tak evasive action yesterday on the a2. I was going up hill had droped a gear doing 5(mph chaned lane to get past a horse box and to get in lane for m25 then the lasses desided she wanted my lane as I started to pass and she kept comming over sounded the horn as I had cars beside and to the rear banged hazerds on cars gave way stradeld the, lanes and she looked as if I came from space. I know I could of touched the brakes but to be on a bizzy hill and chaging to 2nd will cause more trouble than worth but that happens every now and the.
strongbowpeter:
i was following a container truck on the m3 when a car driver left it late to change lanes for the exit slip as usual these days, anyway he decides to run this car onto the hardshoulder with his trailer and puts him into the gravel,i have never in 30 years of driving trucks seen such dangerous driving, yes the car driver was in the wrong for leaving it late but is that any reason to try to kill somone?or causing a motorway pile up involving innocent drivers, anyway my truck is fitted with a camera which has recorded it all, would vosa prosecute if they saw it or should i send a copy to the owners of the truck,i know there will be some on here who say mind your own buisness but maybe you would change your mind if it was one of your family in the car,i really think the driver has a very serious anger managment problem and will cause someone serious injury if he is allowed to carry on driving hgv.s
so, not only did the car driver cut up the truck, but, after doing such a stupid thing, he then proceeded to do something even more stupid, he slammed his brakes on
this is deduced from your statement, if the car driver didn’t slam on, how could the truck get back along side the car to put him on the hard shoulder?
How do you deduce that the car driver slammed his brakes on■■? the way i see it he tried the manoever but couldnt do it which upset the box jockey, then the car driver slipped in behind the truck and tried it up the hard shoulder when the box jockey decided to move over, i maybe wrong, but both are ■■■■■
Diversion2:
If you want to report the lorry driver you’d better report the car driver too. Bit harder to do that though isn’t it. Most folk don’t have their phone no. and address stuck on the side of their car.
the registration numbers of both vehicles are clearly visible so both could be identifide, ime not picking on the hgv driver but his actions were not that of a sane person behind the wheel of a 44ton truck, you dont use your trailer to force another vehicle off the road, yes the car driver was in the wrong but you dont know who they had in the car, there could be kids in there,it could be you he decides to brake test or run off the road nextime think on
Thought about it and my statement didn’t condone the truck drivers actions. The actions of the car driver being a ■■■■ with a 1 tonne car against a 44 ton truck doesn’t strike me as the actions of a sane person either.
My feeling is if you grass one you grass them both, since both were muppets.
The main thrust of your op was about reporting the truck driver.
harry: Is that a joke? Cars are metal btw not plastic. Thats just some of the exterior bumpers and trim. Why are you on a truck forum if you quit trucking? Thanks for giving someone els a job though lol its no less trucks on the road…
Have you ever looked at a skelly? its all corners & built like railway wagon & has no side guards. The driver that took over came from DHL who were employing Commie Block material. & Ex-Truckers hold this website together .
I finished trucking because it had died of boredom ■■■■■■■ in red tape years ago.
I love the way you get so passionate over buzzing around UK or the EU but good luck ,the golden age is over & will never return to this part of the world. If it floats your boat keep at it but don’t try to police this website, its not rocket science to drive a modern truck.(56MPH)
Any scrap dealer will tell you that cars have more plastic than ever before.
I have obviously seen a skelly, and I currently drive a low loader so know the dangers of abnormal, wide and heavy loads. I apologise if i came across abrupt and you feel I’m trying to police the site, I’m really not. I do have a lot of respect for retired drivers who have been there and done it, I only meant to ask why you were on the forum if you are not driving and possibly working in a different industry. I do enjoy the job and as I’m only young i will sadly have to get used to all the “red tape” if I want to get on. I would agree any scrap dealer thinks cars have more plastic than ever before but would argue that they are still metal on the whole and any scrap dealer would still be happy to get them
as a professional hgv driver your comment is so wrong, yes we know car drivers can be ■■■■ but you should never use a 44ton truck as a weapon,if he is that stressed driving it is better he is off the road,it really peas me off other drivers trying to justify runing people off the road, how many hgv drivers have been killed recently runing into the backs of trucks?is it muppets like this brake testing them.he had no concern for any other vehicle on that road and could have caused a very serious accident involving innocent drivers and maybe members of your family!! justify his driving then.
ibson:
I would do nothing btw, I feel both were ■■■■ and not worth the time to report.
We are supposed to be professionals, which should mean we know what we are doing, and as such should make allowances for ignorance incompetence and downright rudeness by all other amateur road users, its part of our job.
The bloke in the car could be a sales bod, doctor, scientist or drug dealer, whatever he does for a living its highly unlikely he is a professional driver, we wouldn’t expect to be able to do his job as well as him, so why do some expect car drivers to be as good as pros.
dessy:
Post the video up on here and let us be judge, jury and executioner!
+1
Post the video or it didn’t happen. Let the experts analyse, re-analyse and over-analyse every second of it, then watch as they argue and ■■■■■ at each other before unanimously coming to the conclusion that it was your fault.

Sorry I didn’t explain in detail why I wouldn’t report it. I agree with what you say, he should be off the road and he defiantly shouldn’t have done what he did, but if that car driver did have his family on board then he’s the biggest ■■■ going! He endangered his family with a stupid manoeuvre in the first place. Again it isn’t an excuse for what the truck driver did.
So anyway, all of the above plus the hassle to report it means I probably wouldn’t bother. Like a few have said, you really need to speak to both drivers and explain how stupid they are, which if I ever saw them again I would probably be more inclined to do than report it.
It would be interesting to see how many people would actualy report it and not just think it and post it on here.
Fair play to the container driver, if more idiots in cars were made to realise that there could be drastic consequences to their bad driving, the roads would be far safer
So the car had a family in it, well the driver didn’t give a ■■■■ about their safety, so why should the lorry driver care about the bloke’s kids, if they manage to live until they’re old enough to drive, they’ll end up following the bad example set by their [zb]wit father, so maybe getting them off the road early would do everyone a favour anyway
Ok, so I’m being tongue in cheek, doing that kind of thing is a bit extreme, but I bet that the bloke in the car will think twice about cutting lorries up again
i really cant believe your stupid answer, please give up driving and stack shelves in toscos if thats your attitude"well the driver didnt give a fig about a kids safety why should a dimwit like me!!! what school of thick did you go to,whoever logged you onto the computer should put you to bed now its getting late and adults want a conversation that might be a bit above your level of education night night sleep tight zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Personally I wouldn’t, but as I said in my previous post the whole affair brings us (professional drivers) into disrepute as all to see as this debate unfolds.
I’ve seen a lot of bad driving from Jo public and the industry caused by red mist, bad driving by others brought about by pressures from TM’s, other drivers but in my personal opinion time itself which we as drivers have little of due to the nature of the beast known as driving.

Seeing as you brought up the subject of education, I would like to draw to your attention the terrible grammar in your post
Where did you learn to write
You should use uppercase letters (capitals) when starting a sentance and after any full stops. You are also supposed to leave a space after a comma, in case you don’t know, punctuation is there to represent a pause, a comma is a shorter pause than a semi colon, so you really should have a space between the comma/semi colon and the next word
There is also a lack of commas between words, the statement night night sleep tight, should have really started with a full stop after education, so it would read…your level of education. Night, night, sleep tight. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
You can omit the full stop at the end if you use a smiley. In your case I would recommend that you use the smiley.
