Compulsory masks

One of my fillings has fallen out. If I died today it could be truthfully reported that I died with a hole in my tooth.

It’s no wonder you have gone missing Franglais.
I used to laugh at some of the dumb comments but it’s beginning to get extremely embarrassing now.
This pandemic has brought out the worst in some.

On a brighter note it looks like the whole world is going to catch Omicron and luckily for humans it’s looking like it’s not going to cause as much illness as it could have done. We have all been very lucky with this variant. It could have been so different and it’s probably too early to be 100% about that.

Endemic on the way all going well.

That ^^^^ is probably the single most truthful statement I’ve heard since this all started!

What we’ve learned (some folk at least have) is that anyone in any position of power can impose with complete impunity any restriction, diktat or remove any freedoms at any time they choose without fear of reprisal or civil action simply by stating that it’s for our wellbeing or our security. Not only can they do that carte blanche they can also with clever media manipulation get the majority to not only welcome these changes but also get them to judge and vilify anyone with the temerity to question the narrative.

I despair.

You despair! I’m sure all the relatives of the thousands of people who have lost their lives despair far more.

People are quite right to question what is happening
as the vast majority have never experienced anything similar in their lives.

Quite understandably people don’t like their freedom taken away and in some cases just don’t like being told what to do but overall there is a far higher percentage doing what they should and trying to get through this pandemic the best way possible.

This may yet go horribly wrong and we as humans have little control over that.

What’s your solution?

thebeardedone:
Call me sarcastic, or a doubter, but am i alone finding it strange that we seem to have the only reported death from omricon in the world. the bearded one

I bet a lot of people were so happy when that happened, that they could report it. We don’t know anything about the person and their prior health.

Not luck, just science. Successful viruses mutate to become more transmissible and less harmful. Otherwise they kill their hosts and cannot be successful.

My solution? Stop the fearmongering, stop the cleverly cultivated hysteria, stop ignoring the social, mental and financial aspects of lock down after lockdown. Treat people like grown ups and let them make their own (non coerced) decisions. Stop vilifying those who don’t believe every single thing the press say, you do remember the video footage from China of people falling down dead mid step don’t you?

New York has a population of 15 million people, before the plague an average of four thousand people per week died there from natural causes. FOUR THOUSAND a week! No headlines screamed that figure, no headlines called for people to shun human contact, no headlines called for vast swathes of industry to shut down, no headlines demanded that people should undertake new medical practices.

Lets have a bit of perspective here shall we? People die, simple as that.

Well said.

They’ve got camps now in Australia! ■■■■■■■ camps!

Is it any wonder people are starting to feel uneasy about it all.

There’s a creeping insidiousness about this that smacks of historical purges, unfortunately we simply aren’t learning from history. The genius part of all this is that in this hi tech world there is no need for jackboots or pick handles; media manipulation is all that’s required.

Never thought it will take soooooo [zb] long for some to start seeing what’s going on.
Even the creator of the mrna technology Robert Malone says how harmful it is and you still live in BBC world.

The reason you needed the asterisks is because you were trying to use a banned word.

Using asterisks doesn’t make that word allowable. dd.

Not according to this doctor who is highly respected in the UK and worldwide.

Now who should I believe.

Younger unvaccinated may benefit from watching this clip.

Jimmy Crankie has just been on the tv (in her capacity of head of the Scottish Fun Police) advocating for the Jocks to avoid social contact in different households in the run up to Christmas.
What I can’t understand is if the jab and it’s follow on boosters is said to cut down the risk by 70% or whatever serious effects of the illness, what difference does it make,.as 30% would surely equate to a really bad cold bordering on flu, surely their natural immune system would deal with that…unless as in every other aspect of this, you have an underlying health issue.
(This is not an invitation for our resident TN ‘experts’ to refute and explain btw, for two reasons, (1) In real terms you know as much as I do on all this, ie the far end of f all other than what you read and choose to believe :bulb: …and (2) that it’s just my own personal take on it.)

I don’t live in Scotland but if I did it would be a ‘‘Go and ■■■■ right off’’ from me.
Same old same old…Unlimited contact whilst working, but not socially. :unamused:

I will answer your question Rob as you seem to have misunderstood.
If 70% are protected from severe illness and death (and they won’t all be) that leaves 30% of the population who may need hospitalisation.
If you know the population of the UK 30% is an awful lot of people going into hospital at the same time.
The omicron variant is spreading extremely fast and we are all going to catch it.
They are trying to slow the spread down to help hospitals cope.
The politicians are airing on the cautious side and quite rightly so.

Thanks. Interesting view some of which I agree.

No deal.
If it’s safe enough to work,it’s safe enough to play.

The more I think about it Jake, the more I think that there’s another factor at play here, and that factor is human nature!

I’ll explain, there are legions of medical professionals of all capacities working tirelessly throughout their whole careers with one goal which is to advance medical science. These professionals are dedicated and ultimately well meaning but the simple truth is that with a few notable exceptions their lifes work goes (sadly) largely unrecognised and largely unrewarded. Along comes a pandemic and suddenly they have a world wide platform and a chance to step into the limelight. That in itself doesn’t present any particular problem per se, the problem comes that in order to preserve to a lesser degree the public acclaim but to a larger degree the now endless funding that is being bestowed upon them they need to be seen to follow the official line (a line they’ve made themselves) because if they go off piste all that suddenly screeches to a halt.

It’s human nature, and I don’t blame them one bit, but I suspect that it’s no longer entirely altruistic reasons that drive them.

Ok…The way I read it was the percentages were referring to seriousness of the effects, and that the booster reduced this percentage, if it referred to percentages of population, fair enough…as you have said I misunderstood.
However I still maintain if you have had the jabs and the booster, what is the problem, and if there is a bg problem why tf do you get the jab for in the first place.

Some of you might find this interesting, some of you won’t, i’ve been reading his blog for years and he knows his onions, no he won’t be appearing on the BBC so for those adherants of the utterings of the state propaganda machine probably best just dismiss it as another conspiracy theory.

Whilst the population worries about Omicron, the parties are forgotten so one in paticular hopes.
