I’m at the stage now,.(and as irrational as it may be seeing as it’s none of my business what people do ) when I see somebody wearing a mask now under the age of 80 I look at them with contempt, especially those who wear them outside.
Trouble is I’m the sort of bloke who subconciously makes it obvious what I think of people, good or bad, when I look at them… so I get some funny looks back, in a ‘‘What have I done’’ sort of way, at this big bloke looking at them as if he’s gonna thump them.
Best one yet I have seen is the chump in Asda, wearing his mask, with a full face visor on top.
Brainwashed beyond help.
Never ever wore one of those surgical type masks, even when you were expected to, I just think they look so ■■■■ ridiculous, unless you’re a Doctor.
At least when I wore my snood I was at least conforming, …but looking cool at the same time.
Juddian:
Oh its all coming back under the excuse of plan B+, Bunter’s Junta can’t wait and his latest bald pseudo dictator doing the rounds should really sport a peaked cap and jackboots to complete the picture of where they’re going.
Lithuania Australia and NZ are the current testing/proving grounds for the whats coming, they’ll have to be a bit more hestitant in the USA to force full totalitarian measures due purely to the right to bear arms which they do.
To be fair, you need to stipulate the states and or territories, here in NSW, we are now @ 90% vaccinated.
Since our premier was forced to resign and we have the new bloke new charge, we have started unlocking and restrictions ended… to be fair, even during lockdown there is insufficient personnel ro police the lockdown in areas where I live in the rural part.
No masks required outdoors only in shopping centres, the mask are a waste of time, if they want proper protection they need KN95 masks.

LMFAO!..
Japanese tourists.
Covid deaths in the UK: …over 2,000 per million population…Over 9 million cases in a pop of 66m.
Covid deaths in Japan:…under 155 per million population…Under 2 million cases in pop of 126m.
Is that difference only due to mask wearing? Maybe not.
But it puts a whole new meaning to being a “fashion victim” don`t it?
It’s like everything else in this life Franglais, you believe what you believe …or want to believe.
Again, like everything else in life, I try and sort out the truth from the bulllcrap and exaggeration, and try and look for the real agenda of ‘them’ putting this stuff out there.
Ain’t in to all the conspiracy science fiction stuff…(incidentally where is the gob ■■■■■ these days on all this? ) that goes about, but nor do I believe EVERYTHING I am told.

I suspect that like me, you dont have access to raw data and a team to analyse it, nor to research laboratories..... So I try to look for differing sources around a subject, and have at some level to trust the info given. We cant all research everything ourselves after all.
I do tend to believe what is said by practising Doctors etc, and the vast, vast majority of them all say the same thing about the Covid problem.
Yes, I`ve seen the Erin Brockovitch film, and recognise that their are nasty people out there, and that there are some individuals who stand up to them.
But the NHS staff, and medical staff from all the world (more or less) all say the same thing.
And they all now agree that correctly wearing proper masks is a simple, cheap, and helpful thing to do.
It is not going to prevent all spread of this virus, it is not going to be the be all and end all cure.
But IT IS HELPFUL even if not to roughie, toughie, fashion gods, then it is to those who have less good health than the luckier of us.
The mask wearing shopper you look down your nose at could be at risk themselves, or could be shopping for someone with a disease making them susceptible to Covid. They may be an OTT hypochondriac, they may be doing the correct thing.
I try not to judge others on their appearances. If someone isn`t wearing a mask in a crowded public place, I try to assume they have a good reason for such, not lazily assume they are selfish or ignorant.
As a P.S.
I want to believe that Covid is a minor inconvenience that will shortly be forgotten.
Sadly most of the credible evidence points away from that.
the maoster:
Undoubtedly. Undoubtedly better to be around than others I’d imagine.
Bit of a narcissist too it seems.

A realist actually. I imagine that your real life persona matches perfectly your on line persona which is ego driven and fuelled by an unswerving belief in your own superiority, as can be seen by pretty much every posting of yours to date.

I look upon these masks like a toddler’s ‘comfort blanket’'…
No use or protection whatsoever, but a psychological shield for the wearer.
You don’t make an initial assumption by somebody’s appearance?? Seriously?
You can tell a hell of a lot from someone’s appearance.at a glance.

Of course I do…but…

It doesn`t always work…

I had a whats app vid of a specialist spray painter guy who had two types of masks on, the particles of chemical and paint came through both of them.
My lad who is a pro spray painter vouched for it’s authenticity.
So you can send me as many links as you like,.I ain’t having it that a cheap crappy little flimsy mask is going to stop a microscopic virus getting through it…or by it’s very design around it.
As I said filter the bull crap out from the facts…a bit more than a mask is going to filter out at least.
I think the issue is largely what people believe the purpose of these masks are.
They aren’t intended to be a complete protection from the disease in the way a military respirator will protect you in a CBRN environment. They are simply to reduce or mitigate the risk of transmission.
They are a simple, cheap and relatively convenient way of mitigating transmission rates in a way that the more expensive and technical protective measures arent
