Nothing better than blowing your own trumpet, providing others want to hear a poor tune

I’d love to blow my own trumpet but I keep banging my forehead on the steering wheel :imp:

Think of all the money we have spent and wasted on women over the years, that could have been saved if we were contortionists.
At least you can learn to cook for yourself.

What is so hard about keeping to the speed limits

robroy:
Just a heads up…I came through Crediton earlier on the A377, saw 3 guys in hi viz on the pavement.
Got up to them, they were 3 old geezers in pristine hi viz jackets with '‘Community Speed Warden’ printed on the back, buttoned up to the neck with a white shirt and tie, looking important (in their own minds) pointing a [zb] camera at me. :open_mouth:
They will have a nice pic of me doing the w××××r gesture at them.

I have nothing against the Old Bill policing 30mph zones, in fact I’m all for it when there are kids and old people about, but ffs!..is this what it’s come to, Coffin Dodgers on Power trips? :unamused:

Anyhoo if you’re down here watch out for them.

probably miffed by a certain tipper company [who shall remain nameless]ploughing through at a rate of knots.

Nothing whatsoever…, but that was not the point of my o/post.
As I said,.I ain’t got a problem with Police speed traps in a vulnerable 30mph zone where potentially innocent pedestrians are vulnerable, my point was are non Police people with ■■■■ all else to do the answer to sorting out the job, while the real Police concentrate on less important and more both pc dog crap and revenue raising whilst bleating on about their famous …‘limited resources’.

I make no apology for having a slight problem with the Police, one instance close to us as truckers is they prefer to ponce around in tractor units catching maybe one or even two serious offenders to justify the 100s of minor ‘sipping a coffee’ type scenarios they come across, and cashing in on them.

I would much rather see a bonafide copper as you see on ‘A’ roads and M/ways, preventing real ■■■■ ups in a town centre where kids and old people are subject to idiots flying through their town, rather than Reg and Doris on a day out, clocking people on a camera while enjoying a cup of Ty Phoo from their old flask…
That was my point.

That was my point.

Over the years of collecting all sightings of Stobarts trucks, Reg and Doris have aquired a certain set of skills. If you travel within the speed limit, they will let you go, and no more will be said. But if you do not, they will find you and they will report you…

 I see what you did there.
