Clubs and Dances, Pubs, were truckers delight

Norman Ingram:
I don’t know Dave, today I had a lift in a few month old jag, from the bowls club to a bus stop, by a rich bowling mate, it was very nice, so I’m sure if Larry sold that glass for brass, he would have a upgrade. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

He would probably buy a faster motorbike with the glass money Norm.
Cheers Dave.

Heres the latest Daytona Phantom Black hasnt done much yet because of the weather, Regards Larry.

Larry very nice,   but would it stand up to a 50cc Fizza in town unrestricted.      Son had one, now top of the range BMW, been all over europe several times.

Norman this is my son Nigel,s Daytona , Im too old to ride something like that now, Im content to drive my Jag, & my 1971 MGB.GT,Classic to the car shows around Northumberland, Regards Larry.

You lot would have been in tears, if you had seen me & my wife on a scooter in Corfu, I was near 65, wife 60. Wife was a mod & I was off my rocker!

No Dave, the first bike they gave us was a 50cc it was ok on the flat, but wouldn’t get us up the hill to our appartment, so they gave us a 100cc scooter, one time we went across the island to visit friends who was on holiday from Northampton, their faces was a joy to behold when we rolled in to see them! :astonished: :astonished: :astonished: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

A lot of these small powered bikes and scooters have more power than the 250cc motorbikes of years ago.The same applies to cars, lorries you name it.Its called progress apparently. :unamused:

hiya,
This power and emmisions thing governing what you pay in road fund licence is getting
beyond a joke, I drive a 55 reg 1.6 Toyota my RFL amounts to a stonking £250 a year
yet a girl across the street from me has just bought a brand new Ford 1.6 petrol like
mine, her RFL totals £30 a year she does 10,000 miles a year I do about 2,000 and my
jam-jar only has the same amount of wheels hitting the floor, I used to only pay £145
a year with a 2.0 diesel Citroen it’s highway robbery, at least they hung ■■■■ Turpin.
thanks harry, long retired.

My van is up for renewal at the end of this month Harry. Its £215 as its a 2.7 diesel. This emission lark is a swiz I think. As far as I’m concerned its just a way of getting people to buy new cars and get rid of the older motors.
Under the scrappage scheme a lot of good motors went which would have done a few more years. It was OK for the people who had something knackered, but I think it was a money maker for the big boys.
Cheers Dave.

Aye Harry, But they hung the wrong man, At least he had the modedisty to ware a mask, These robbings gits that work the RFL out must have to take their shoes & socks off when they count up to ten , My new motor which Ive had a year was £130.00, Ive just got the renual in & its gone up a fiver, Still cheap I think for the size 2.2. Diesel, But It beats me how it can be £5.00.more ■■?, Regards Larry. PS Thats a fiver less to spend on my tipples, Oh dear Oh dear, Oops I forgot my good Lady & I will get the fiver back on our state pension increase, What a bloody joke, when I look at all the benefits being handed out to people that dont or wont work there has got to be something wrong with the system, Regards Larry.

trying to enlist the services of a financial advisor to tell me the
best way to invest the new additional pension I’m about to get.

Norm not a lot of white stuff here we never get much in Chester le Street
but it’s quite a climb from here to first Stanley then Consett they seem to
get plenty of snow with road closures and surrounding areas getting cut off
I can live happily with good weather and would happily abdicate to warmer
climes over the winter months if I didn’t have my child minding/school run
duties for most of the year, I hate kids. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

hiya,
It’s surprising how many people practice the habit of not saying please, thank you and excuse me nowadays,
I find these people are getting into their old age years, and the young uns’ just aren’t being taught manners.
