Oh I almost forgot. One of my regular cash and carry deliveries gave me a box of 24 pepparami for Christmas. Very random indeed!
90 days notice and a letter saying that we go into a consultation period in January with regard to closure of where I work at the end of March 
Announcement was made on 13.12 2013. We did ask them why they couldn’t have waited until the New Year before telling us and wrecking everyones Christmas 
Financial year end is 31st December. Something to tell the share holders.
Possibility of transfer to another site might be on the cards but if not job hunting end of Feb onwards.

Anybody get any nice suprises from their customers or employers this year■■?Not really a suprise, just arrived at a drop to be told they cant tip till monday… Good times. Perharps i should get my boss to call then watch them run for cover.

3kg turkey crown and a pork pie which is brilliant as i only work for the firm part time one or two shifts per month
I got a 2.5% pay rise in sept. we got 2 bottles of wine celebrations and a 4kg turkey plus chocs from a few of my customers for my kids and a £20 tip from one too!
I’m happy enough as could of got nothing 
Weekended at the moment but talking to a couple who finished up yesterday they didn’t even get “happy Christmas” off management and they wonder why nobody will come in for Boxing Day
Me working tonight and Monday morning luckily my wifey has a good boss and had case of wine,quality st tin , a huge fresh turkey crown and £100 M&S voucher

I received a surprise bottle of Bacardi (I’m teetotal ) a tin of quality street in the firms “customer/supplier” gifts raffle, £50 in high street shopping vouchers and on holiday from yesterday till 2nd Jan.
Makes a change from November 2011 where all i received was a redundancy P45, or even January 2010 and another redundancy P45.

It’s ■■■■■■ news mate, hope you land on your feet. My brother in law has just been told that he’s not required in after xmas too, got a bit of a redundancy package but that won’t last long will it.
2% wage rise as of Oct, and a case of belhaven best.

I had £250 bonus from the company which was a nice suprise indeed, also received 2 bottles of bells finest and £40 from customers whic was also much appreciated. i tried to decline but they insisted! 
Lol, some of the other drivers moaned like hell when i mentioned it… maybe they need to be more cheerful in life to reap the benefits! 
OOH, and as mentioned from the above poster, a 2.5% pay rise from november. i`m guessing with ASD and TATA going belly up, things are looking up for us.
P.S. sorry to all the guys who may have been affected by this, especially so close to xmas its the worst and last thing to happen to anyone…beleive me, i went through it last year.

Yep! Was told yesterday that I’m on for a £90 fuel bonus. Paid next week. And I never knew there was a fuel bonus available! Very welcome indeed, plus I was also told the shift that was planned for Xmas eve, has been cancelled so it’s an early holiday for me!

Still have a job next year so thats the main bonus.
£100 bonus in the wage, 12 bottles of wine and an 8 pack of beer from our employer.
From the customers we had abit of a collection, £60 each for 12 of us, plus a few bottles and pints here and there.
Monday we have the Xmas raffle so maybe more to add to the list if I can be arsed turning up.
