Christmas bonus anybody

Do you work for a firm who show their appreciation at Christmas for all your hard work, an organised party maybe or a cash bonus, or even a hamper and a drink, or are you like me who works for a firm that are as tight as a fishes [zb] and gives the drivers jack [zb]. but still find the spare cash to put on a party at the main depot for all the other depots managers, aint it great to feel appreciated :unamused: :frowning: :frowning:

Used to get a bit of cash, but Christmas has been canceled last 2 years at our placeā€¦ and they even had the cheek to (try and) pass the hat round to get the MD something. I suppose the 1.2 million a year isnt enough.

We get a party at the end of january, youā€™re lucky if 20 people go and that includes partners. Too much BS for me they would get a hell of a lot more people going if the managers didnā€™t go.

Also get a hamper wae a 2 quid bottle of wine, a box of shortbread and a 26 mulitpack of crisps. Although usually had this by now so maybe cut backs this year.

Last year i got a 5 quid gift voucher for argos for driving in the severe weather. If youā€™re a good little boy that has put in your quota of near misses in for the year they give you a selection box. Treat you like a bloody wean, its embarrassing really.

Ive never been at a company that gives you a wedge for a bonus, few and far between those companies are!

Usually get a couple of bottles of wine, scotch or a case of beer but I normally give it to the security gateman who works for a cheapskate firm and has crap wages working all over christmas.

Get our accident and fuel bonus week before xmas Ā£126 this year kind of xmas bonus :unamused: :unamused:

Used to get Christmas bonus based on so much for every year of employment-stopped by recession. There used to be a company-wide do but drivers and machine ops werenā€™t invitedā€¦a drivers do was run for a few years but it was always ā€œat Oxford dogsā€. I never wentā€¦Thereā€™s a few colleagues I can only just stomach working with, never alone socialising with themā€¦

Yep, a cold weather payment and a tenner on top :stuck_out_tongue:

our christmas bonus is attendance based. just got mine Ā£300 minus tax for no days off sick this year.

all our office staff, planners, etc get a slap up meal at a 5 star hotelā€¦the drivers get a xmas card signed off the boss and his wife. :open_mouth:

The firm I used to work for had a xmas bash, meal and drinks in a hotel, all paid for, we where sharing the room with another bunch of people, all was going well until one of the drivers ( a young lad with a potato on his shoulder, never mind a chip) decided to wind up one of the forklift drivers, it was harmless banter at first until the driver mentioned the forklift drivers mum!! The last thing I remember is being pushed over as everybody else went to get the knife off the forklift driver as he tried to stab the other lad!!!

My lot have a do, itā€™s dry though, a lot of drivers have to go to work the following day so they remove temptation, mind you thereā€™s no security on the door, so they never found anyoneā€™s hip flask  last year they did a little movie that was a ā– ā– ā– ā–  take on supertruckers, it was very good, we also have an award ceremony for drivers who achieve certain milestones, based on mileage rather than time served, they also have a driver of the year award and some other performance based awards, it ainā€™t a bad night out really, the best bit is seeing some of them in their off duty clothes, fashion victims they are not :open_mouth:

We got a bonus last year too, hopefully the same applies this year, fingerā€™s crossed
