Does anybody actually care that he asked his wife to take the points ? It’s done everyday, how much has all this cost the taxpayers ?

Everyone else doesn’t profess to be the ‘right hourable’ though…

but if you did it you would be inside by now last week an idiot got 5 months just for asking someone to take his points. He is actually going to get done for perverting the course of justice much more serious than 3 points, just because you are part of the law making system does not mean that you are exempt from them

Yes i care, because he’s a shining example of whats gone wrong with our country, grubbing fingers in the till liars and swindlers the lot of 'em, monkey see monkey do, the rest of the population assume thats the way to behave where money power and greed are worshipped and any way to grab it is fair.

They are supposed to set an example and they fail through their greed and corruption, they deserve serious punishments when they are caught.

Hi all.As i don’t live in the UK i don’t know what the story is about.Ok, i have a good idea based on what i’ve read but clarification would be nice.Ta Mike.

a politician and member of the cabinet asked is wife to take 3 penalty points on his licence after being caught by a roadside speed camera, said politician then left wife a few years later, thus upsetting her, thus she bubbles him for peverting the course of justice…he has always denied this until today when he pleaded guilty in court, he is now on bail awaiting sentance, his wife is due to start her trial tomorrow (i think)

do i mind?..yes a typical arrogant approach from a man who thinks he is untouchable. even today his arrogance was shown when he said he had done the responsible thing and pleaded guilty… talks of responsibility…pity you didnt do it when this investigation was started and save police money and rescourses chasing this petty case. even better do the crime, take the fine. oh and dont leave your wife for a former lesbain (they do tend to get upset at those kind of things)

Let’s not forget if you’re ‘noble’ and resign your seat, you get full MP’s pension rights and a resettlement bonus.

I bet he dosent go to prison.

Is it possible to be a former lesbian any more than being a “future gay”?

If he’s got a female conversion under his belt, then it’s no wonder he always looked so smug! :stuck_out_tongue:

I reckon he’ll serve 9 months, and therefore be out in time for Christmas. His Ex-Missus will be bound over to keep the peace on the basis of her being “Maritally Coerced”.

What price you laying? :sunglasses:

Would rather him get a large fine than cost the tax payer with a pointless stint in prison.

Nah some porridge can be a substitute for humble pie…

The real question is why did he not just admit it in the first instance. It’s not as if his job depends on it.
Would the man in the street give a toss about some MP getting a speeding fine,? no!
His arrogance and ego have been his downfall and show’s he is cultured in telling lie’s and underhandedness. He has lost his wife, family, and job over this, i hope his liberty and freedom are next.

yeah its not as if he had 9
3 points dont hurt anyone who earns a politicians wage

I hope your wrong , but you never know ,he should be facing some serious charges wasting police time, just being one.

Exactly ,at the time of the offence i believe he was only an MEP so at worst he may have lost his licence for a few months and at best (if anybody cared enough) a bit of a telling off from the Mail or the Sun ,now he will be sharing soap on a rope with Bubba and a few of his pals

We will probably find out in the next couple of days that he,s suffering from some " Mental stress " of some kind due to his wife leaving ect a “doctor” will get the case ajourned while tests are carried out , then he will be to ill to attend and when he dose,s he will have to be asissted in to court ( if not in a wheelchair ) resulting in a suspended sentence and a fine he wont notice. Have you forgotten that women labour mp that did exactly that about 2/3 months ago after she had accidently done expences for about £30 k claiming for a house in Southampton, she was even photografted mid trial living it up in Spain but turned up with docs in tow dark glasses and an old headscarf a week later on medication, was bang to rights on the fiddle her brief admitted it and even though she was convicted it wasnt put on her record so clean sheet. It will probably come out that he was asleep due to overwork when the incident occured and when the paperwork arrived he accidently wiped his ar… on it due to his missus having left him and taken all the paper with her, or am i just an old cynic?

It was 10 years ago. He’s got away with it for this long, He should be congratulated.
It’s his ex missus that should be in the [zb]. She grassed him up, then inadvertently grassed herself up, Stupid cow.
I’d deny everything, The case would be dropped as she’s not right in the head.

Sounds like his wife blew him up after they split. Now he has (eventually) pleaded guilty which to me is some kind of tactic or game he’s playing as he had pleaded not guilty at first. His little game will unfold as to why he changed his plea and he will get off virtually scott free whilst his game of changing plea’s will now get his ex wife into more difficulty as she is still pleading not guilty. It seems to me that she didn’t realise she could go to jail and is not trying to back out of it whilst he employs tactics of trying to get off with as little as he can whilst she gets whacked.
