Yes, and real clean and tidy, in green and cream!
Cheerio for now.
Powells of Kington ran an ERF KV Chinese six up until the late 60’s.
Cheers Dave.
Alfie Ellis from the Toon ran several AEC Mustangs in the earley 60s Also O&B from Gateshead had one as Jakey Adams did, They didn’t catch on as the Type Approval & axle weights changed, The big 6 wheeler Marshall in the AEC Range could carry more payload & didn’t have the axle overloading problems the Chinese 6s had although there was quite a lot of them about at one time in the 50/60s era, Regards Larry.

I think the popularity of the “Chinese sixes” was connected to be able to increase the “carriers licence ulw” from a 4 wheeler to 6 wheeler and the Chinese 6 was the next, and lightest, wrung on the ladder.Fourteen ton GVW to 18ton from memory and a payload increase from 10ton to 13/14ton.Cheers Dennis.
Due to the advent of articulation it was cut down and converted into this Leyland Beaver 4x2 tractor unit.
seeing that picture of the barreiros, during my holidays to mainland spain, and
mallorca in the late 1980s,the spanish seemed to like chinese sixes, mostly of
this make and pegaso, and also the 8x2 version with a single tyred trailing
rear axle
