Don’t know why they try to retrieve the live ones. The local foxes will sort them out, a few will get smacked pheasant style and the rest someone will adopt.

According to MEN, The escaped chickens were “coralled” and rounded up. WTF were they doing in a betting shop ?
Thought the days of loads spilling onto the carriageway was gone now that we have to properly strap our loads down?
I see in the pictures that the hens were laying hens. Wouldn’tbe hard to gather them up because the poor things would of be in cages most of their life.

1500 of them died.
Sad in a way, but their fate was bleak either way given where the wagon was probably going. Even the few that escaped will have probably been had by a fox by now.
