CB channels

Are portable units any good, any recomendations ?

Don’t have my own truck you see…

we run on channel 3 if in convoy ie the old sealand channel though somtimes run on 36 which was city trucks sqd channel

Richie, Powder Puff was a lad called Simon from Cleckheaton and despite his handle he is a massive guy who works as a doorman. He also had a mate called Bendover Barry, but Ive not heard either of them for a while. Chocks Away Charlie has to be the best wind-up merchant on the CB - the only trouble is some people take him seriously and dont realise that the more they bite the more stick he`ll give them, and he always remains calm

if you get lost in swindon channel 2 for directions or it was a cpl of years ago.

they even knew the colour of the doors

you will find that a lot of tipper drivers in the south west use either channel 5 or chanel 40
it is always good to find out were the vosa men and woman are as well

If you need directions in Cornwall, most drivers can be found on17

I second that Jonboy, that idiot round Brum calls himself ‘toyboy’ he generally sleeps around midday but is on at ALL other times, scab in a cab is his favourite saying, however just tell him something that the Walsaw boys are saying about him sit back and have a laugh as he explodes :sunglasses: heard a geordie truck driver do this the other nite and ‘toyboy’ (please :unamused: ) exploded but it helped pass some time whilst sitting in traffic especially when everyone started on him.

Unfortunatley i live near Birmingham and i still have a cb setup at home, the one who gives the truckers most of the stick on 19 is not Toyboy (even though he does give a lot out), it’s a chap called Odd Bod that sings “scab in a cab on the motorway” and "you’ll be there all day " when the M6 backs up over all the tunes most afternoons. :unamused:

Heard Charlie a few weeks ago, he had a chap from Dudley screaming blue murder down the mic, very funny to listen to.

Trev,

I always knew powder was a big bloke one of the lads i was working with at the time met him in the cafe on the A5 just off the M1 (can’t remember what it is called) miss characters like him used to be a real laugh and i never once heard anyone give him any stick, it was even ok to be stuck in a traffic jam on the M1 with him in ears shot.

Paul,

There is also another guy in Brum just calls himself ‘Graham’ he seems to be part of the little group who think they own the airwaves up there, he too sings scab in a cab, sad little men with nothing better to do.

Yes your right, i had forgot about him :unamused: another one the the local planks around this area. To be honest i dont put it on much these days due to all the dead keys and general brain dead types in this area, shame really because 10 - 15 years ago CB wasn’t to bad around here, all the good ones have long since gone off air and mostly (there are still a few of us that use the cb properly around here) we are just left with the idiots.
