Caught with 7 illegals yesterday

hi, parked at steenvorde services for the night as i couldnt make the port in my hours. crs woke me up to say that the trailer had been broken into. the copper and me both checked inside the trailer and could not see anythng wrong. nice copper sealed the trailer and signed cmr. went through the co2 check at dunkirk with no problem, got my ticket, went through uk immigration co2 check and BINGO!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth:     :imp: :imp: 7 indians hidden in the consignment. not a happy teddy! I’m not writing this looking for sympathy or advice , just to say be very careful out there people. this can happen to you and the immigration people said that the problem is getting worse on a scale they cant understand. i’ve just got to wait for a judgement letter now. good luck

is that the carrefour services just north of j13?

a subby picked up 7 or 8 down diesel alley (yes, i know) start of this week, they were getting all excited when he neared veurne on his way to friedrichshafen - 40 foot specialised container was the load

Our firm have had two trailers recently with them on. The first loaded out of K&N, Duisberg … stopped at Veurne for fuel and parked on their secure truck park. (K&N consider it secure because of all the cameras there). He crossed the Channel, drove up to Minworth and booked in. When his turn to get tipped came, he backed towards the bay and then walked round the back.
He pulled the seal off, undid his container lock and opened the back doors. To his utter amazement, three jumped out and ran!! The problem was they had obviously been in there a while and had used the trailer as a toilet. You know what I mean! The firm refused to tip the trailer until a fumigation team had cleaned the trailer … this resulted in the trailer sitting there for three days.
I was sat in the office today when the phone rang … office bod was on another line so I took the call … after greeting one another the said driver said I have a problem, listen … he held the phone out and I could hear all kinds of banging going on. He had loaded out of K&N , Duisberg … stopped at Veurne etc same as the other guy. When he got to Calais and into the heartbeat, they took one off his axles but because the trailer was sealed, never did anymore. He was at Junc 11 of the M1 so we instructed him to go to Toddington and see the Police there. He showed them the CMR, they checked the seal was ok and signed the CMR then opened it up to find five inside. After getting a Police report etc from them, he was allowed to continue on his way. Luckily the trailer was clean.
Now the strange thing about all this is … when he went in the heartbeat at Calais, there was a Dutchman there who had seventeen inside his trailer and guess where he had loaded■■? Yep, K&N, Duisberg heading for Minworth.

Came into Calais last week and followed a French register vehicle throught heartbeatbeat, uk imigration co2 check and parked in lane, as we were about to board something caught my eye on top of his cab, 2 Indians laying inside his roof spoiler. Now I sat along side him whilst we were waiting and no one got on so they had deffo been there as we came through the checks.

No forgive me for being suspisous but if they can miss these maybe some one is either turning a blind eye or a certain goverment is trying to generate some extra revenue in fines.

I parked at last services on the Lille road monday nite, checked trailer in the morning found five in their. Told co2 check and they went through tailer and under neath checking for more. Even if you tell english immirgration you think their may be people in there could still be done.

Mick

We had one of ours park in those services last month cleared heart beat, into imigration and they found three in the back, £675 thank you very much

not the carrefour but the total on the other side. uk immigration said i should be ok as got cmr signed by copper who searched and sealed the trailer.

Sounds like K&N in Duisburg are exporting them.

Mate of mine watched half dozen pack their selves into to his pallet carrier one night…He wasn’t coming back to blighty, he took them on a joy ride, after 4 hours he stopped (i wont say where) let them out, they said England? he said yep, off ya go, good luck!

You know, Koop, I have always wanted to do that!!! Yet I, personally, have never ever had any on. When we used to ship out empty, I always used to go into the Dunes, fuel up and run out towards the right turn and level crossing. I must have done that 20 times yet no one ever got in. Shame cos I had the fridge set for -25 every time yet never got the chance to turn it on pmsl

What amazes me is they come down like a ton of bricks on the poor innocent truck driver yet airline companies do far worse and nothing ever happens to them.

Why the double standards?

We’re an easy target mate, they know what’s going on but if they can raise some revenue from it they don’t give a toss.

Where else in life are you guilty until proven innocent?

Ross.

Early hours of Sat morning a mate of mines returning empty and on his last job for the company, fuels up at Grand Synthe in his van, he thought he had locked it when he went in to pay.

Arrives Calais goes through the scanner on the far left and they discover 2 immigrants in the back of the van. Police called and they are carted off no further action taken.

Oh and he starts his new job next week as a

yep you guessed it :stuck_out_tongue:

Immigration Officer

I have only had them once, that was when i stopped to fuel up during the early hours of one morning at the total garage off the e15 Calais j3 i think the jnc for your Piddu Esso ect,on my way back to blightey, after i had payed and about to get into my truck, i heard/saw someone scurry into the row of trucks opposite the forecourt, then noticed the back door open,so as i started to walk along the side of the trailer a French bloke was running towards the rear of the truck shouting something to me i have problem or something, i think he was employed by total,so i get to the back doors looks into the trailer and there they were no where to hide all 7 of em as i was carrying steel tubes, bundles of em,i got all 7 out before i moved off, told em i was going to Spain, not england, then said if they don’t get off now thats were id take em,and then shouted at em to get the f"ck out of my truck now, it worked nicely with immediate effect no police needed, thankfully

Calais has been a scary place this week with the queues and the free taxi services we have been offering. I nipped into the Dunes as the tunnel was slow and it was quicker to use the Shell there. The system makes it very easy to be targetted as you have no safe haven to park in the dock area till your ferry is called.

I went through 3 CO2 checks, heartbeat and the final scan still showed something, however when we opened it up it was clear but there had been someone inside the trailer and they had got in or left by the sliding roof. We think they had been using my stand trailer as a hiding place before getting a lift with other vehicles

Wheel Nut:
Calais has been a scary place this week with the queues and the free taxi services we have been offering.

Your not kidding, pulled up in the queue Thursday about 500 metres from the slip road for the beach, three cars in fornt of me was a Slovackian truck, three of our friends jupmed out from the bushes one opened the door while the other two jumped in and then he closed the door and slowly walked away witha big smile on his face, there were hundreds peering out of the bushes,

Police were around but seem to be doing nothing guess they are happy to get rid of them.

Had my civil penalty charge come through this week, £700 for me and £2450 for the boss. Not a happy chappy!!   :imp: :imp: :imp:

If that nice CRS copper has sealed the trailer and signed the CMR, then how do you get doneâ– â– ? Am working on the assumption that all was in order when you was rechecked?

Thats the Governments way of giving the illegals a £100 when they arrive, pity you couldn’t get that when you went to the dole office for a week.
What happens if you dont pay ?..Jail
