While waiting for a security check I was talking with a Gendarme about the immigrants. He suggested one of the reasons they wanted to go to the UK was because of our large grey economy.
I have no insight into a migrants mindset etc, bit look around the UK for yourself: car washes, nail bars, cheap gardeners etc. So many in the UK moan about immigrants, but at the same time want a cheap car wash where the employees must be on less than the minimum wage, and happily pay cash to avoid vat, and so support the grey economy` and support more illegal immigration.
a lass i know runs her own HR company in london for the hotel trade, she says that if they take away all the illegal immigrants working within the hotel sector, it would just collapse overnight…

On car washed at least I flat out refuse to use the manned ones. They always look too suspicious to me. I’ll drive a dirty car, or wash it myself before I knowingly contribute to someones slavery. The nearest I come to this sort of thing is occasionally (when I have the time) getting my truck washed at Lymm truckstop on the M6. And even then they do a crap job, missing big areas.

Know what your sayin dude,tali wash near me has an endless clientele despite a perfectly good auto system further away,there seems a certain victorian vibe to the ritual,watching the lower orders working up a good lather ,like an old shire horse type of thing.It irkes me greatly.

Funnily enough I used Speedway corner on Sunday and the eye candy was woeful there despite the quality of wash being first class. My dilemma now is do I use East Road with the great norks but poor wash, or Speedway corner with a great wash carried out by Gremlins?
