He spoke French German and English quite well!
We told him to ■■■■ off and so he did in the dark, twenty mins later he is negotiating with some dodgy looking Arabs (?) in the next queue…So I bubbled him to security who dragged him from the rear of the Arabs tatty VW van.
Hope all the ■■■■■■■ got detained, all I know is the red VW van didn’t load as it was still on the quay as we left.

My sin was stopping the ■■■■■■■ from getting in the trailer ,by grabbing him by the throat and then was told by “le plod” that I could be prosecuted for assault.

Can you explain to me something that has always puzzled me.
If they genuinely are ‘‘refugees’’ (rather than imo economic scroungers) … How by definition did their refugee status not cease after they left the first country they arrived in after ‘‘escaping’’ from their native country.

Why were they not so relieved to escape from their native country, were they not content and happy to stay there, given that the danger they were supposedlly escaping from had ceased.■■

I think I’d have been tempted to take the guys money then drive him as far as possible in the wrong direction before ejecting him from the vehicle

im considering heading there in my own van,but by the looks of it from ireland id be close to 2000 in fuel ,toll,and ferry fares in which case,the same 2 k would be a spanking all inclusive 2 weeks elsewhere.

While waiting for a security check I was talking with a Gendarme about the immigrants. He suggested one of the reasons they wanted to go to the UK was because of our large grey economy.
I have no insight into a migrants mindset etc, bit look around the UK for yourself: car washes, nail bars, cheap gardeners etc. So many in the UK moan about immigrants, but at the same time want a cheap car wash where the employees must be on less than the minimum wage, and happily pay cash to avoid vat, and so support the grey economy` and support more illegal immigration.

On car washed at least I flat out refuse to use the manned ones. They always look too suspicious to me. I’ll drive a dirty car, or wash it myself before I knowingly contribute to someones slavery. The nearest I come to this sort of thing is occasionally (when I have the time) getting my truck washed at Lymm truckstop on the M6. And even then they do a crap job, missing big areas.
