Cash

Has anyone ever worked fir the likes of Securicior or Loomis? What’s the work like? Saw a Loomis rigid earlier and thought , there must be a LOT of cash to need such a vehicle

What are the vans like? Uprated suspension to cope with the windows etc??

Uprated?? i used to build them, standard vans, lined with kevlar, most of them only last a couple of years before they come back for new bulkheads cos they’re cracking! one of them actually got pulled by Vosa, that resulted in a recall and we had to move the auxilliary batteries to the back of the van cos the front axle weight was too high!

hi bazza
its like most other driving job’s monkey’s and peanut’s oh and you might just get some scrote with a sawn off shotgun wanting you to give him a non returnable loan or a belly full of shot treat it like the plauge

Rigids are ok as you are generally only going between depots, lock yourself in at one end don’t get out till the other end.
They also use them for bulk coin delivery
The small vans are rubbish, cramped hot and if the air conditioning fails ( and it does on a regular basis ) its like being in the worst sauna imaginable, add the body armour, helmet and usual management c**p all for £12.18 an hour and you get some unhappy people

I’m still not sure why you’d need something like an 18 ton truck to move money around. Sounds over the top

Ronnie Biggs still scares them.

G4S uk search under cash operations, Loomis, Brinks these all use rigids but you may have to start on smaller stuff.
Be prepared for lots of checks financial and criminal pm me if you need any further info some things are not wise to go into on an open forum

When i was on the buses Loomis used to pick up daily from the depot - used a 18t as lots and lots of coins from all the drivers paying in at end of shift - went into coin counting machine and dumped into large box - and did this as a route round all our depots/offices every day.

Don’t suppose you can give me the times and locations of when they do this??

My mate got ‘Smacked’ in London, ended up on permanent Sick, eventually Dying of complications. He used to say that the job was a pain in the Arse, park up in Central London & walk up & down the stairs with one bag at a time, constantly watching over your shoulder for Scallys & traffic wardens (from the same Womb, IMO) I wouldn’t touch it with a Barge Pole. They carry an awful lot of cash on those vans/lorries, so there’s a lot of responsibility.
