Not the best advert for Carrs drivers. But another good reason to have a dash cam
You gotta love the kangaroo court of comments at the bottom of the newspaper article. “Sack him” “sack the thug” etc… And from what is shown that might be a logical assumption…
However, it should be considered that we are only seeing what the newspaper and video maker want us to see. And there could be an awful lot more to this than we can see. Not saying there is, it’s just worth considering…
Either the ‘tattooed’ Carrs driver’s a bit unhinged or something happened that we don’t see - before the video starts or behind the camera
Absolutely shocking. He’s not wearing a hi-viz vest.
I highly doubt there was anything before the horn incident as the car came from quite a long way back, the guy is obviously a right ■■■■■■■ headcase that whats taken off the road. Even if the car driver gave him some sort of hand gesture after the horn there is no excuse for that kinda behavior. Driving a lorry is all about being calm, composed even when everyone else around you is bleedin crackers. I’m all for sorting out problems like men but there is a time and place and rush hour forth road bridge is not it.
He even nearly fell getting back into his cab, maybe a new driver that cant take it and has snapped already, looked fairly young.

I agree that there probably wasn’t anything more to it, but wouldn’t be funny if tomorrow, the DailyDross changed its headline to: “Brave trucker risks his life to save motorcyclist that oblivious woman runs over and drags down the road” LOL
It was an agency bod surprise surprise.
A very poor effort from the smackrat lorry driver, especially when he went to get back in the cab and missed the step

Agency or not Carrs should be commenting and answering as to why they employ drivers with that attitude or at least the actions they have taken to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
He wouldn’t be working for me anymore that’s for sure.
I would have sounded my horn if I had been driving past him as his lane discipline was poor and I would have wanted to alert him that he was moving into my lane whilst I was passing.
If truck drivers want to improve their lot it’s in their interest to ensure people line him aren’t in the industry because his standards are driving your wages down
The more people complain about the bad drivers the more chance there is of employers realising that if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
as long as that monkey can get the goods delivered/collected, they don’t care!
No wonder the people think we are scum of the earth, it just takes one ■■■■■■■■ to do something like this and we are all tarred with the same brush

I think Estate Agents and Accountants might be upset with that statement!

Estate agents deserve all they get, accountants can be useful lol
The driver has been since been sacked.
A spokesperson for Carr’s Flour Mills said the driver was not an employee, but had been sent by an agency to provide holiday cover.
She said: 'We wish to confirm that this behaviour is disgraceful and totally unacceptable to Carr’s Flour Mills.
Sacked from a flour mill, what are the chances
I put my notice in today so he can have my job in two weeks.
I think I heard somewhere that every dash or helmet cam has the dream of internet celebrity specially enclosed, in the box, by the factory in China.
I thought the car people kept very calm throughout, they sounded Eastern european so they would be used to this sort of incident. As for the driver he’s going to be very fit if he keeps jumping in & out of his cab at every horn blast, assuming he keeps his job that is.

Most bell end drivers I’ve come across recently aren’t agency. The ones who’ve tried to run into the side of me as they veer down the motorway trying to keep in one lane have all been wearing their company’s uniform. Typically when a slave like you makes comments about agency drivers you usually find that they’re quite low skilled one trick ponies only used to doing a small variety of work and that I and a lot of agency drivers could run rings around clowns like you. Funniest thing is watching a company man trying to figure out how to drive the truck he’s just been given because his motor is off the road and they’ve got a spot hire in and its not the same one that he’s driven for the last 5 years.
He was trying to split lane 2 and 3 as it was going to 2 lanes, so he was probably ■■■■■■ off with cars quite rightly using all the road. No excuse for trying to bully other road users.
Funny he couldn’t jump back into his cab without stumbling.
Dashcams are the way forward these days, not only for stuff like this but to cover your own arse with idiot drivers that cause accidents, as we all know there are ALOT on the roads.
