Carrs flour mills driver

Alcpone:
He was trying to split lane 2 and 3 as it was going to 2 lanes,

Really :unamused:

He is one of those “lane changing dive bombers” who think if they keep changing lanes when their lane stops they get were they are going “faster”

As reported in the Dundee Courier today.

A Fife HGV driver has been fired following a terrifying road rage incident just outside of Edinburgh.[/i]In footage that has sparked outrage on social media, the lorry tries to enter the outside lane in front of a car containing a two-year-old child.

The driver then stops in heavy traffic and moves menacingly towards the car.

Police Scotland have not been contacted in relation to the incident and nobody was hurt, but the family in the car were left “distraught and traumatised.”

The driver, from Driver Hire Nationwide, who operate a branch in Glenrothes, has been sacked over the incident.

A spokesperson for the driver hire company said: “This driver had been with us for some time and his conduct had not previously given cause for concern.

“We are conducting an investigation into this incident but we can confirm that this driver will not be working for us in the future.”

Carr’s Flour Mills, the Kirkcaldy-based company who own the lorry have confirmed it was heading for the Fife town when the incident occurred, and described the driver’s conduct as “disgraceful and totally unacceptable.”

The incident was captured thanks to a dashboard camera.

Wonder if driverhire will have rung all the agency’s in the area to name this guy.

Muckaway:
I put my notice in today so he can have my job in two weeks. :smiling_imp:

Not AGAIN!! :unamused: You have had more jobs in the time I have been on this forum than I had in 40 years, I bet you wake up some mornings wondering who the heck you are working for and do I tip the body or open the curtains?

Pete.

One word to explain this: Red mist.
Nobody was traumatised.Listen the voice recordings.
The car occupants are calm.No children are heard in distress.
Media hyping it up against lorry drivers again.

It’ll be more confusing because I’ll still be driving Dafs, Pete. Going to work for the firm I temp’d for 2 years ago. If they’d had a permanent job back then I’d still be there.

As mentioned pretty clear cut as to whats rubbed him up the wrong way.

This type of scenario is annoying but as a professional drivers we are meant to bow down to the public as we are scummy truck drivers

what a sad, sad little tattooed bag of bones…

Good to see he didn’t drop his ■■■ while clambering back into the cab.

Alright he strayed over the white line but it wasn’t as if he was going to come over was it. The horn was justified, although OTT in duration.
It is possible that the driver or passenger was giving him the coffee beans behind the camera.
He deserves a serious reprimand/disciplinary for his actions that’s for sure.

Something else has gone on there which isn’t documented in the video footage. I’ll bet my house on it. For a start there wasn’t any reason why vehicles could not use the 3rd lane at that point, it was only later in the footage did we see the sign showing lane 3 ahead closed and to merge into lane 2. Given the above, his sudden swing out into lane 3 as that car went past suggests to me that we’re not being furnished with the whole story here, especially as the next thing we see further down the road is the driver jumping out of cab and braying on the car. Definitely more to this.

Absolutely no reason for him to react the way he did though.

A so called ‘traveller’ (caravan dweller) did similar with my son a couple of years ago, just before my son retired as a professional MMA fighter… wish there’d been a dash cam for that.
