PASSED TODAY! — ITS A MIRACLE!

had a great pret test drive was feeling great then on test my head went and did some daft things. Pulled out a bit late and nearly slowed traffic down but just got out in time. Hard last minute break on some lights and some hesitation and going too slow in parts, not making progress but i think it tends to happen more on test as for me anyway you tend to second guess everything you do and over think. Anyway a pass is a pass just so glad ive done it!!! cpc mod 4 and tacho now while I start the job search!!!

Well done bud, fair play to you,

Was just reading the other post on you doing your lessons, sounded nerve wracking lol !!

Good luck on the 4 sounds like your on top of it tho, keep us posted, im just nearly on the step of booking my theories :frowning:

cheers, ups and downs really with my training but its a whole new thing so this can happen. Biggest thing was I showed improvement all the time. Had a bit of a bad day Saturday but improved in other areas. Sunday was much better and by Monday morning I was really on my game. Bit of nerves first 10 minutes then I settled down. Really enjoyed it all though and well worth doing.

nice, well done mate

Ive started looking already, i`m sure you will find a job thee is plenty about its just getting someone to give us a chance as first timers but from what I read on here companies are doing that. New years a good time as buisness I guess will be quieter so if they are hiring its not just for the christmas rush

Nah not at all, think it’s great, I was listening to 5 live this morning and there was a discussion of the shortage of drivers in general and Xmas, so hopefully you will get work that suits you,

However the guy being interviewed said you can earn £30-£35 per hour, not too sure bout that, maybe in London at the weekend double time but I haven’t seen a flat rate of that more like half that at best but still £15 an hour ain’t too shabby.

ive just been scanning agencies in case I need to pick up a few shifts till I find something. Obviously there is only so much I can do with working full time elsewhere so will need to look into that. I know a company called search consultancy through chefing but they also do trucks too and the women mentioned it today I used to work for as a chef. Pays pretty poor for temping but they have a few perm jobs too but again not great best one i saw was £23,000 but good hours and near me. Still have to wait for my cpc but I think I will find something at some point!

Yeah man you gotta make waves, its amazing sometimes what comes up, sometimes you just stumble on a good thing.

Arrrrghhh search consultancy ain’t heard that name for a while lol…cheers biker10…

£23k sound about right for driving

Sorry Biker work has been manic so I have not been on the forum for a while, first of all congratulations on the pass! Are you limping around and driving a van yet?

No worries thanks.
Not yet waiting to do my mod 4 but need the licence to come back after that I may have an option with a food company if not I may do part time agency just to keep me in something and get some experience. Soon as the CPC is done I will be applying all day lol

checked online and my licence is all updated so hopefully on its way back. Now then I need to do my mod 4 am I right in thinking costs will be around £230 ■■? ive done the mod 2 ect its just the mod 4. I have watched a couple of the videos on here and researching what I can about it. At one point I thought it was a lot less but I think I have misunderstood and the real price is more likely around this can anyone confirm please?

just found a good pdf on here “flairtraining” very useful thanks  does seem i thought wrong lol cpc looks around £250 mark as I have to pay for vehicle hire. oh well needs must!

Yes you are correct around the 300 mark you normally spend 4 hours or so in a class room then go to test centre with a vehicle, most companies do it in a van because you still get your cpc that way and its easier :stuck_out_tongue:
