Those of you that think working for £750 is below your worth just happen to be fortunate in your work, not everyone is that fortunate.

It has nothing to do with good fortune. £750 in the bank for a Monday to Friday tramper is pretty commonplace in a car transporter position. The wages cannot really be compared to fridge/general work. The work is very hard.
But how many cars do you load and unload each day on UK work? I should imagine a hell of lot more than this job entitles.
Be loading 20 and tipping 20 a day on UK work for about 800 a week
But as u say it’s alot harder work
Is that £800 take home, including night out money?
Yeah u be 800 in bank roughly for doing 20 cars a day
800 take home for ten loads would be a poor return unless you were on short distance ferry work/day work.
ECM who pay the most, expect four and a half loads per week.

Is that all they do 1 load a day?
They paid by hour not load thou.
You would need drag that out doing a load a day
Yes, four and a half loads a week. Can’t remember the exact pay structure, but twelve pound odd for first four hours driving and eighteen pound odd thereafter. They probably recoup the cost of paying more to drivers by drivers not rushing about and damage costs being considerably less than other companies. The other thing is, when you pay more you can hire experienced drivers instead of trainees which will cost thousands in damages, many leaving the job a month or so in as well.
Thanks for the info, sounds like you can still get good pay on transporters, but I reckon you earn it with loading and unloading and trying to avoid things that can damage the cars on an open transporter. However for me, I have no ties and no large bills, like mortgages to pay and no debts, so given the choice, not that I’d probably get the choice,
I’d go for running round Spain.
Taking £800 including night out money ain’t to bad.
You aint going make that doing any driving job on 4 n half days
Take away 120 for expenses.
Your still taking home £680 PAYE.
Just put it in salary calculator £680 PAYE is 48k a year over 900 net. Plus expenses.
Ain’t to bad
