Car pulls out in front of me then chased by traffic police

I’m not usually one for taking the ■■■■ or mick out of anyones driving, this isn’t the purpose of this video - please don’t see it like this. It just goes to show sometimes the police are in the right place at the right time - and i got a friendly wave and thumbs up on the way past. What was this guy thinking? (This was filmed from my dash cam today).

Sorry it is clearly your fault
If you hadnt been on the roundabout that poor driver would not have pulled out in front of you, now he has to pay a fine which means he cant feed his children this week… shame on you

Sorry, I should’ve thought of the children. :frowning:

Clearly your fault. If you hadn’t ■■■■■■ about joining the roundabout you would have been past before that car pulled onto the roundabout.

It didn’t look that bad in the video although it doesn’t really show how hard you had to brake. That type of thing happens a lot and to be honest as long as they get their foot down it doesn’t bother me that much, it’s when they pull out in front of you then procede to dawdle that does my head in.

I’ve just fitted one of those dashboard cams in my truck so be interesting to see what if any cringe worthy footage I get.

Looks like the perfect opportunity to post a picture of Ian Beale with a big, bushy 'tache off of the 80’s. Happy Movember.

Nice to see one of these ‘oblivious-to-everything’ brigade given a ticking-off for once!

Happens everyday, nice to see the plod being proactive for your near miss.

(Nice quality picture that)

u still gotta look at whats coming around the roundabout that is what u are taught. the driver of the car made a death wish. it was your right of way not the car. im just glad the police were there to witness the near miss. it is clearly classed as dangerous driving. im sorry if u dont like what i said but thats my view on the situation. Sam didnt do anything wrong apart from brake late.

i think your mayby missing the sarcasm from them?

To be perfectly honest, it didn’t really bother me at all, and I never had to brake hard. Personally I don’t think it warranted a pull from plod but they probably never saw if I had to brake hard or not.

They probably thought it warranted a blow into their annaliser, his driving seemed a bit hesitant so either trollied or perhaps a doddery OAP

Nah it wasn’t an old chap but it’s his actions before entering the r/a that are strange.

‘’ a blow into his annal-iser’', a kick up the arse would be more appropriate

No worries fella it wasn’t the fact that I braked late, i basically never braked at all - just lifted. I wasn’t travelling fast enough and I could see it coming a mile off.

think he was more pre occupied with the plod in his rear view than what was going on infront of him. eyes wide shut :unamused: and the refuse to stop won’t have won him any favours :open_mouth:

jonboy :unamused:

fingers:
the refuse to stop won’t have won him any favours

He was probably thinking of the children! Home alone

The guy seemed to take a while to stop too, first he wanted the nearside, then the offside and eventually parked on the other side of the road!!! I am sure the plod was not happy with his actions either!

If you can’t see a HGV enough to pull out in front of it on a roundabout and then [zb] up pulling over for the police with all those flashing lights and sirens (although it looked like he only had 1/4 of his lights on, not the full ‘Christmas tree’ then perhaps new glasses are needed.

How about a script change from ‘think of the children’ to ‘should’a gone to SpecSavers!’

I wish the police in this part of the world were as observant and pro truck driver. Idiots here will pull out right in front of a truck but not in front of a car even though a fully laiden truck can flatten them and if you loose your temper and sound the horn or shout protest it merely attracts the attention of the police who them pull the trucker.
As it happens most Americans have no idea how to negotiate a roundabout anyway

Hmmm Saratoga ■■? how did you get that name ? I live just up the road from there.
