just curious to see how many other modders are driving trucks. what have you got and what mods have you done
not a truk driver, only on here from my dad, but i’ve got civic vti aerodeck which has few bit’s on it.
link’s 'cause i can’t seem to resize them…
one of the best unknown sleepers’ out there, from factory, B18 vtec engine (180bhp) 8200rpm limit (just think about that), limited slip diff, strut brace, half leather seats’ and that was standed fitment from factory.
since then it’s been lowered 20mm (just right not too low not too high), stainless steel cat back, also make’s a really nice noise on vtec, and a integra air intake system, nice induction noise when required. some wind deflectors and summer wheel’s off an integra aswell
it look’s brilliant, and goes like a train and will pull in 5th from 1000rpm at 20mph to the wrong side of 140mph with out batting an eyelid. and will return 35mpg when driven steadly. and the luggage space is brilliant.
my donor car which is on my driveway
when i bought it
when i broke it
when i bought
which only needs the front bumper to finish off the front end
Well i started off with this.
BMW 540 Manual.
Not really alot to it tbh, Bc racing coilovers, Bucket seats, Hydro Handbrake, Straight pipe/Cat delete.
sounded good aswell.but thats been sold on for my new project
youtube.com/watch?v=-528kc-e … Ig&index=8
Then i got this for running the steel rings (oval stock car tracks)
Just got coilovers/hydro and bucket seats and a welded diff.
its looking pretty sorry for its self now as i lent it to a friend and he put it nose first into the wall…still waiting for him to fix it…
and now my new project.
Found a mint avus blue BMW e36 328 touring shell.
also found a localish modifier (with no taste or clue) and found this amazing car.
pay the pricely sum of 1500 bucks, and i had myself a car with an m3 engine and gearbox and lsd aswell as m3 vader leathers which are worth some coin.
the plan is to put the m3 engine into the touring, cage the touring, slam the touring on coilovers and go have fun.
gogzy:
That front wheel is a Vauxhall Carlton/Senator wheel.
Although on my Senator, they were gold. (24v CDi)
I was a petrol head once but not anymore.
Couple of pics of one of my old beasties!
I started off with an Imported Impreza ‘Type RA’, basicly the lightened and stripped out version, very light and 280 bhp.
I then got the bug, sold that and got an Impreza ‘Type R’, the 2 door version of the my first one, low ratio box meant only about 140 top end but in the book it was 4.2 secs to 60.
I finished up with the GTR you see here, just a mere 400bhp stage one tune with intake and exhaust upgrade and boost turned up to 1 bar. It was by far the best driving experiance i ever had. Seeing as i had 180 mph out of it, (on my own private track obviously ) I sold it way back in 2006 after owning it for just 12 months before i ended up in a box. To be honest, it was abit of a “liability car” as my ole man put it, but ■■■■ me did it move!
Do i mis these motors??
No not really, i like the 50 mpg my old 03 plate Passat estate returns plus it dosn’t shake your fillings out

its not, its a BBS bmw wheel, both wheels are similar as im sure bbs made them for vauxhall aswell.

Yeah, BBS made wheels for loads of differant cars and because Vauxhall use a very low offset on all their motors of that time, you wouldnt get a vauxhall wheel on anything else but a Vauxhall likewise they are a pain to fit other marks of wheels on em aswel.
the spec of thel legnum when i got the car was:
its a rare manual so 276 BHP rather than 256 BHP
induction kit
Apexi SAFC
blitz turbo timer/boost gauge
bilstein springs
uprated shocks (as i only found out about a few weeks ago)
wedssport SA55BBM racing alloys
Cusco rear strut brace
custom 3" stainless steel downpipes
custom 3" stainless steel straight through exhaust
it now has:
EVO V RS transfer box with helical LSD
EVO VI OZ racing alloys
EVO VIII FQ330 brakes all round
HEL brake lines with stainless steel connectors
lateral arms with poly bushes
V6 sport seats and door cards
MOMO steering wheel (from V6 sport)
MOMO gearknob
fibre glass vented bonnet
facelift grille
the facelift V6 bumper is ready to go on and i want to have the rear fog light moved into the light cluster and replace the rear bumper, spats and side skirts with the facelift items from the V6. the EVO VI alloys are a bit rough so i want to use them for winter and get a set of limited edition EVO IX BBS alloys or EVO X alloys. in the meantime i have a turbosmart manual boost controller waiting to be fitted once the weather is more suitable and source a bigger intercooler to fill the wider mouth of the V6 bumper and get a super AYC diff from an EVO VIII fitted to give her independent 4WD instead of AWD
the current target is 300BHP which shouldnt be difficult. no doubt i will achieve what i want in looks and power then find something else to do

I nearly bought one of these once, they are a stealth rice rocket for sure!
It makes me laugh when I look back at my Vauxhall modding days in the late 90’s. I had a MK3 Cav GSI 16V with that 2L red top engine and i thought it was the nuts back then but when you get into the jap import stuff, the bloody differance in handling and performance is like night and day!

Well…
you could stick bmw wheels on a vauxhall
While I haven’t got a ‘toy’ at the moment, I have in the past had a few, although I dont have many photos, and nothing in the league of Mitsi’s or BMW’s, I’ve always been a Ford man, I’ve never done much more than exhaust, filter, chip etc.
The last toy, '88 ■■■■■■ RS Turbo not registered until 1992,
'85 MK3 XR3i, never got much further than it looked in pictures, was an unfinished project which I never got round to finishing
Another unfinished project that turned out to be too rotten to do anything with, '82 Cortina Carousel estate
And finally, not a picture of mine, but had one of these, the car I regret selling the most, '79 ■■■■■■ Harrier. My old car came up for sale a couple of years ago, with a £13k price tag!
Had a matte black BMW M5 E60 but sold it got a pretty boring range rover sport now

Indeed, i expect you can, you can fit any wheel on almost anything if the PCD is right and you get a spacer to bring out the off-set!
Your well and trully preaching to the choir here me ole mate!
Plus im not really in a “hair splitting” mood today, so if you dont mind, lets move right along shall we!
i had a 1989 ■■■■■■ cabriolet when i was 19. red with RST bodykit and an XR3i engine. nice sunny days in nuneaton. car parked up with the roof down.
these days ii dont go to any kind of cruises. the car park days are long gone but i do enjoy the car shows at knockhill since i got the bug from a car club. sadly the club seems to be concentrating on a big 10th anniversary event this april but its in birmingham so im not going. there doesnt seem to be any interest in knockhill this year at all so i am now awaiting my membership with clan japan so i can still attend a couple of shows
I have played around with pretty much every car I’ve had, but the one I spent the most time and money on was my impreza.
slowboy-racing.co.uk/index.p … &Itemid=73
Spent over £30k on that and when it came to it only managed to get £7k back.
Since then I’ve tried to be abit more sensible with my mods.
Currently driving a Audi a3 sportback tfsi. Already done the exhaust/filter/ remap route. Just recently bought some coilovers and a set of 19" bbs ch-r’s.
Hopefully that will be all for this car but, I do fancy putting a slightly bigger turbo from the s3 on there !!
i got a 1999 audi a3 (paid £750 for it) that’s ripe for some extras gunna start with coils, struts, strut brace (it really does need one), ecu remap and stanny exhaust, oz wheels and lpt’s and see what happens…
some daft sod gave me ideas so i have had a few days off to put them into practice and here is the result
have you / are you going to put LED’s in the inserts in the bonnet
someone round here hs got the whole light show under the car thing going on — orange under the sills, white’s under bumper and in the grill casing and some reds inserted in back bumper — looks a bit not right but maybe that’s juss me…
got the front sussers on my A3 done last night and the strut bar’s on and now the tukin bonnets gotta be modded cos it won’t close — and my mate suggested that i get my bonnet done like a scooby and put a supercharger in there…dunno if it’ll work but hell — he keeps planting seeds…like last time my pearlescent purple 1992 TOYOTA MR2 2.0 GT T-BAR – put simply i don’t think that there was anything original left when it was finished…
