Slightly off topic - I checked today few sites, as usual started from one of these comparision websites.On gocompare lowest quote was Admiral with 904 pounds. On Tescocompare lowest quote was Admiral with… 590. Directly on Admiral website they quoted me 540
Says something about how reliable these comparision websites are…
It went the other way for me a couple of years ago with Budget. I got my renewal quote and thought to myself " HOW MUCH, F F F eckin 'ell… it was up by about 50% over the previous year, so i went on one of the comparison sites and got a lot of quotes, the best one was errr Budget… so i rang them and said i would like to renew but not at their original quote because i had found one cheaper, when they asked who was cheaper I told them, YOU ARE… so they checked the quote number and details (still the same details) and I got my insurance for the price I wanted.
So don’t accept the first quote you get and don’t accept renewal quotes either… they are just taking the pee.
