What is it with car drivers who on dcs and motorways drive at less than 56 mph? They sit there for miles at 50 and cause chaos! If they cant do the correct speed according to the road conditions and where its safe to do so then they shouldnt be allowed on the road! Cant you get done for it?!
Why does it bother you if they drive at 56mph on a dc?

I can’t see the problem. Surely on a motorway you can overtake them?
And on a dc the speed limit is 50 anyway so no problem there either.

I can’t recall many roads with a minimum limit of 56. Can you help me identifying one please?
If it’s causing you a problem pass them using the alternative lanes. Please feel free to pass me as well 'cause I’ll be doing just about 82 KPH on the motorways.
It causes traffic & potential crashes as a result of unnecessary lane changes, I’m sure it can be classed driving without due care…

I would stick a years wages on impatient drivers cause more crashes

An impatient driver isn’t necessarily a bad driver. However, a bad driver will always be a bad driver.
Getting back to the point I think the op was trying to make, I feel that if you catch a truck doing say 52mph you can pretty much be certain that he"ll keep doing 52. But you just know that the car doing 52 that you’re passing will do something spectacular to spoil your day.
We’ve all been a passenger to a driver at some time where you’re thinking WTF ? at their driving but we bite our tongues.
One of the main problems is IMO that whilst we so called “pro” Drivers tend to concentrate on the task in hand, the typical car driver has a number of things at the forefront of his/her mind and actual driving is relegated below whether it’s green or brown bin week etc.
Err… you have seen the price of fuel these days have you? And in these times of austerity many people have not got a pot to ■■■■ in so they have to eke out as much a they can from a tank. 50-55 is pretty much ideal when it comes to speed vs economy so that’s what they drive at. A pain in the 'arris I know especially when they’re doing 1km/h less than you, but what can you do? They’re quite entitled to run at that speed. The main problem is when they put their foot down a bit when you’re half way past.
Hence me saying all car drivers are pricks be default-simples…!
If I want to drive my car to save fuel I do no less the 60 on the dial, just dont get why anyone would want to go any slower…
Yawn…

Someone in a car doing 50 on dc?
Unlikely.
On a motorway. One traffic cop programme they pulled over an old fella in a golf joining the A1m in beds/herts @ ridiculously low speed, gave it some bs about only having been pulled once etc & they let him off with a verbal, WTF…■■?
Cops are the same as car drivers, complete #pricks in my eyes…!

I had exactly this on Monday night on the M6, a van in lane 1 doing around 50, so I pulled out to overtake, I was about 2/3 of the way past and he accelerated along side the cab and then sat there for a good mile, I could see he was chatting to someone on the passenger side. Ahead lane 1 was coned off so there was no point in backing off and tucking in, poor sod didn’t see the cones quickly approaching.
Nose dive and knocked a few cones out the way, prat.
To be honest I think we just expect far to much from our fellow motorists. Why should we expect them to know how to drive professionally and to the same standard as we do. They get their license, turn the key and off they go.
£1.30 a litre may be the reason.
If you cant afford the fuel then get a bike! Bloody car drivers.
Isnt the speed limit a maximum and not a minimum?
Overtake them and get over it.
simple reason saves money, regularly I commute 160 miles from South Wales to London down the M4 it can cost nearly £30 driving like a ■■■■ if I drive at 50 mph and slipstream I can do it for £13
So whennit hits £2 a ltr is everyone gona be doing 30 down the motorways? It gets to a stage where it endangers other road users thats my point.
