Wait till you get asked to do 3x lee circle store runs in Leicester for wilkos on a Friday evening/night, the back door drop is bang outside the main city centre bars.
Getting empty bottles thrown at the cab/trailer is par for the course, and as the evening wear on & you get into your 2nd/3rd delivery late at night (the 3rd is usually around midnight) the drunken rowdiness escalates

Well one week in absolutely loving it. Home every night lay ins galore Tips are a doddle back door staff are easy to get on with. Stores are well geared up for driver facility’s free tea coffee microwave. Clean toilets. Even done some Xmas shopping while on bay’s. Plenty of eateries as both tips are in main shopping centres. The lamb curry I took home from ilford arcade last night was too die for :laughing: :sunglasses: :slight_smile: oh and all for forty six hrs on paper :wink: :wink: :wink: and 598 gross MERRY XMAS too all those who turned job down or never turned up on start date and THANK U VERY MUCHLY :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s good to know there’s jobs out there the lads enjoy,there’s hope for us all :smiley:

I got talking to the ‘mole’ in the office last week and said ‘mole’ told me that Canutes have picked up a fair bit of work subbing for us. If I hear when it supposed to start or anything, I’ll come back here with the info.

£13 pond an hour and 4 other drivers did’nt bother turning up for it ? this makes a refreshing change to read from the normal " theres no work, too many drivers and too little jobs, all being payed peanuts peolpe this forum is filled with.

I’ve always said if you prefer doing the hours that others don’t like - the money is there. :slight_smile:

11-8pm is cushy indeed - to me as well. Set off after morning rush hour has died down, come home after evening rush hour has petered out.

Hate those start times:
Leave house abour 10am don’t get home til 9pm,
sandwiches for lunch and chippy/chinese/truckstop or some DC canteen for evening meal, never actually getting to eat a meal@ home. :confused:
Hardly see family and can get nothing “done” at home :exclamation: :exclamation: :frowning:

Had some bad news today my chance of the odd Saturday isn’t going to happen INSTEAD BEEN ASKED TO START at 9am each day and do 2 shunts from yard to warehouse abt 50 yArds all on overtime so will now be grossing 798 a week for 56 hours OH WELL :unamused: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :sunglasses: :laughing: :stuck_out_tongue: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Well bully for you.is there any need to brag about your shandy drinking land wages for minimal hours?while others are doing full hours for alot less being away all week, it comes across as being a smug prat quoting your wages

Its not that great a wage as im similair with a pension and im in scotland.so he is being bumped

Ok if you want to work 56 hours per week. Not for me I’ll stick to my 43 hours.
