Dan Punchard:
Even though you have a day cab you could still wear clogs ,have your wallet on a tow chain, cover the front in spot lamps and hide behind a curtain with the phone to your ear !
You forgot laying a brown cable in the bushes and peeing into soft drinks bottles, and throwing them out of the window.
Whilst parked in a layby facing the wrong way and ■■■■■■■■ that someones blocked you in

Seems plenty of tipler work up your way einig has 3 more coming out of scania monday
It’s mental Kev. What’s keeping me busy is the fact there’s hardly any subbies around with 6wheelers anymore. Local builders are being told they have to wait 3 or 4 days for materials or muck shifting.
I’ve seen Einigs are running an S reg Scania plus a new FMX. They’re doing a lot on the A34/M40 work and on the Oxford-Bicester railway rebuild.

Regards. John.
the jobs around oxford have been awful for years. i’ve been switching around looking for something better for the last 5 years. had LOADS of different jobs and have a bit of a reputation for dropping what i’m doing at the first hint of hassle that i dont need. but now i’ve done the same thing as nathan, found a local haulier who has nothing but his own work and wont even fire the lorrys up if they arent making proper money. the gang is awesome the boss is the best i’ve ever had, got a nearly new lorry and the money is always in the bank and its a proper wage. you can find the cream if you just spend some time looking for it. most people havent got the bottle to just jump around and try new things. sod that. why should he be mocked for looking for something better for him and his family and then being enthusiastic about it on the forum when he finally finds it. I know the firm hes on for now and he wont be leaving.couldnt of landed better on his feet if he got off a chair. this forum is full of BS but nathan is always at least honest. and he shares his experiences and asks for advice when needed. surely thats what this forum is about. I’ll have a hundred quid on nathan staying more than a year and i’ll split the winnings with him!

And Tippermaster can vouch for how bad things were when I was driving quarry plant.
…Considering the time it took for me to get around to loading him while everyone else was parked up having lunch at the same time.

I could never understand why all machine driver’s had to have the same lunch break, happened in a few quarries this way as well? I remember once being a ton light (a regular occurence when six wheeler’s were uprated to 26 tonne gross) and having to wait 40 minutes until the driver came back on the job again.
rigsby:
bloody hell pete , a proper keen tipper man would have shovelled it on in ten minutes .
Yeah Dave, like you would have done! What do they say about Buxton lads, 'Strong in arm and…? Shovelled many a ton off when overloaded though…especially the black stuff

4/5 shovels stood at breaktime the other day,Pete. One poor sod trying to load, feed bag plant etc while in the weighbridge chatting away are the other machine drivers.
