My point is…

You can’t blame the guy for getting upset with a bunch of truck drivers parked all night below his bedroom window blowing their horns non-stop for 5 days in a row. I’d say after 3 hours what ever the cause, world peace, end poverty, save the whales or free willy, I’d be Mr Angry too and may have wandered out there with a blunt instrument as opposed to a phone camera.

I wouldn`t argue with that.
In fact I would say there are more than just two sides to this story*, but you have made a good call on those affected by the protest methods used.
But a protest that upsets no-one will normally gain very little publicity. Mind you, loads here were getting their knickers in a right twist a little while back about a teenage girl sailing the Atlantic rather than taking a plane. Inconveniencing no-one! And getting a lot of conversations going.

*Like most stories of course.

If 90% of Canadian truckers have been triple jabbed, then it is indeed a show of solidarity if those 90% are standing up for the 10% refuseniks, so they are not now dismissed out of hand etc for holding out… :neutral_face:

I don’t believe that for a minute. More likely is that 90% of truckers are afraid that they’ll be soon told to do something else they’d rather not now be doing, having seen in hindsight that “consenting to three jabs already” kinda opens the door for all kinds of other totalitarian takeover events to procede from here, having given the apparent green light from that first round of consent…

“Totalitarian Takeover” examples would include rigging their own elections in future like America did in 2020. Britain did at the Peterborough by-election, and Banana Republics do every year, but no one pays attention to anymore, because the West has since become more like them than we’ve levelled up the third world economy to be more like us.

Looks to me like a group who are in the minority, but are very vociferous.
They have been protesting, have been very visible and well publicised, and have not been shut down at all.

The way they are protesting now, disrupting life for citizens, is reminiscent of other groups such as Insulate Britain, isn`t it?
How many who support their views, support their methods? The same as other groups with strongly held beliefs, but who are a minority?

Well, as countries all over the place are easing restrictions, because the vaccine programme is having it`s desired effect, I guess the Canadian Truckers will claim some sort of “victory”.

Just as previously someone near here claimed that having avoided infection from his family, Covid wasn`t really that infectious.
