Canada truckers revolt

Fantastic isn’t it?
I hope they get somewhere. Seems to have a lot of support.

Canada
78% of population vaccinated.
That’s more than the UK.

Vaccination seems to have a lot of support.

“Seems” that some sites have an agenda to push.

(Doesn`t give details of the methodology though.
If it was a headcount does a vaccinated person count as 1 or 2?)

Most vaccinated people there also support the right to choose. Being vaccinated doesn’t mean you have to automatically support mandatory vaccines.

Most? Any proof of that?

“OTTAWA – More than half of Canadians agree with mandatory vaccinations for people who can be vaccinated to stop the spread of COVID-19 variants, according to a new poll from Nanos Research.
The poll, commissioned by CTV News, shows 53 per cent support the premise, another 21 per cent somewhat support it, while 16 per cent oppose it, eight per cent somewhat oppose it, and two per cent remain unsure.”

No proof but like anything I’m sure there’s a poll on the Internet somewhere to either support or disagree with it if you look hard enough. I’m just basing it on the fact that in real life most people I know whether they are vaccinated or not definitely don’t support mandatory vaccines. Also the Canadians I am friends with on social media all support the protest.

Some polls have better methods etc than others.
Nanos has been around since 1987 ,and is used by many commercial organisations, papers and other media.

Your circle of friends has similar views to you.

I would guess yours does too. If you support mandatory vaccines, not much else to say. I support people’s right to choose. End of discussion really. Best of luck to ya.

I very much expect my circle of friends does share my views on many things.
I don`t assume that extends to “most” people.

Such an assumption about my views on compulsion!

A week of their time, with all the lost income money that entails and wasted fuel, for the sake of a vaccination? Is it worth it?

Did Novak Djokovic think it was worth it to miss the Aussie competition? :unamused:

well done Canadian truckers…standing up for the people against the totaliltarian regime!

Yes and Yes

you do realise it could kill you? Why take the risk? because the government (with a vested interest) tells you to?

   Well then I guess I’m just waiting to die, having had all three of the vaccinations… I’ve seen on here previously what you think, so I’m going to pass on by, just like I don’t get into discussions with the JW’s when they come knocking.

Then let’s put Mr Trudeau where he rightfully belongs!
Totalitarian dictators of the past 100 years: updated  I just need to upload this the the Wikipedia page

I thought I would pop in and see what TUK thought about the Canadian Trucker Convoy. Same old story, off topic in an instant. I guess it is not being reported on the news over there too.

Is it more about protesting moves for compulsion in Canadian law?
Or more about US rules on borders?

It’s about being mandated to do things that are illogical.
It’s about being disrespected.
It’s about being controlled more than a kiddy fiddler on parole.
It’s about being frustrated that life can’t be normal again.
Vax or anti-vax views have got very little to do with it.

 I can’t tell if that was meant to be sarcastic or not, but it cracked me up
