The event being the posting of the fact that the Blackburn in question was some small place in West Lothian.
By the way, if you type Blackburn into Google maps youāll find that the one in West Lothian only comes up when you start typing āWest Lothianā.
I used to do another Blackburn in Scotland,up the A96 out of Aberdeen. Even further from Blackburn Lancs.!!
Regards. John.

Excuse me, I assumed it was Blackburn, West Lothian, from the OPās original post. I saw it as being pretty logical that unless there was some particular timing involved, which the OP hadnāt mentioned, then it was the Scottish Blackburn. Otherwise, the logical order would have been Edinburgh > Bishopbriggs > Blackburn > Lincoln.
And with regard to Google maps, your point is?
Howās it going then young Radar? Did you make it to Edinburgh? Edge of the seat stuff this.
pmsl CONTRAFLOW
bit of a cliffhanger hereā¦no telly tonight for meā¦how long can the 1 man refresh this page to see the breaking news just in update. more handbags at dawn,or will the trek to sconny botland have been completed without mishapā¦I hope someone enlightens us,emmerdales starting in a Cpl of hours and my fingers going numb.
So Radar, did you make it to Edinburgh by close of play todayā ā ?
Left hand down!:
Goldfinger:
AVOID THE A1 (Team Valley) AT ALL COSTS!!After youāve done Gateshead, double back onto the A194, go through tunnel - A19, and back onto A1 north a Seaton Burn.
Itās a joke round at the Team Valley area ATM, thereās 40 and 50mph average speed cameras set up now until ZB knows when - so people do 20!
Happy I donāt drive any moreā¦
As someone thatās been doing the Newcastle run lately I second this. That bit of the A1 from the Angel round Newcastle is completely [zb] at the moment. People do indeed do 20-25mph in a 40mph limit and still they brake for the cameras
but whatās just as annoying is trying to avoid the 100s of sunken manholes with your nearside wheels as the narrow lane leaves you nowhere else to drive.
Iām not a local to the area but Iād probably go over the bridge (A167) after Gateshead and then cut across the A1058 to Whitley Bay rather than going through the tunnel, but Iām never up there through the daytime so donāt know if traffic would be an issue then.
Naa, Everyone else will probably have the same idea (including the tunnel), but even I find the A167 central motorway a joke with all the office muppets joining it and still being in āofficeā mode the blind ZBās!
At least with the tunnel, itās near enough one road without people coming at you from either side like the A167, les junctions and traffic lights and speed cameras on the coast road (A1058).
I live near the A19 at the Moor Farm roundabout, and for ages now and if we want to go south, itās the tunnel every time.
A mate lives near the A1 at Gosforth and he can see the traffic there standing morning and nightā¦
Heās said he canāt see how another lane and speed restrictions are going to help it even once itās all finishedā¦
Radar. Answer ā ā ā ā you. Any more of us refreshing will crash the site!
thatās me missed emmerdale now.!!!..where can he be? possibly still looking for bishop briggsā¦?
Heās said ā ā ā ā it and gone to Blackburn Lancsā¦
Brilliant Contraflow. Howād ya manage to get albion and b king on the same bench.
Looks like Radar is still missing in action How did it end
Iām back! Took me a day longer than it should of done. Every drop I had in England let me to the wrong place which cost me lots of time. Got lost in Newcastle city centre. Its a dam maze! After finishing my last drop in England at Whitleybay I got a phone call from the office saying that because Iām under 25 so their insurance might not be valid. Get told to park up somewhere, canāt drive to Scotland. Was in a laybay somewhere on the A1 about 30 miles out of Mopeth being rocked to sleep by the passing traffic. Woke up to it pouring with rain and then I find this sleeper box has a leaky sunroof. Had to wait till 1pm before I get the call saying I can continue.
I charge up the A1, the rain has stopped as I start to hit the coast. The views were incredible but no time to stop now. I pull in about 30 minutes before hitting Edinburgh to call the customer, turns out heās closed up shop and gone home! He was expecting me this morning! I guess the office didnāt call ahead to let him know. After sitting in having my break before I hit the city centre, I get a call from the office saying that the customer will open in the morning to accept the shipment. After finding an industrial estate near the drop point I settled in only to find my night heater doesnāt work⦠Woke up freezing cold but not wet so I suppose its not a total loss. After getting lost the night before in Edinburgh I decided to hit the trail early and beat the traffic. After offloading at Edinburgh it was a nice drive to the my last two drops which went without a hitch.
After dropping at Bishopbriggs, got back on the M8, then on the M74 which has some stunning views then across the A66 then on the A1 and then home! So overall I learnt from this that, the office canāt plan for zb, the people of the north are friendly, the views were amazing and BBC Scotland is actually really funny.
Well done mate with that positive sort of attitude you will do well in Transport, nice to hear that there are some good young lads coming through.

Donāt ask why āplannersā have the job title planners⦠No ā ā ā ā ā ā knows, probably irony.
Good job sir. Nice bit of PMA which is good to see.
The other lesson learned should be to press every button in the cab before leaving, just to make sure it actually does something!
