Yes but it was a lot harder to go from one end of the world to the other in 1973.

Plus on a side note it is not the 1970s, the world has changed dramatically since then. You quote things from 50 years ago like it was yesterday, you need to move towards the modern world. Also FYI some of the Beatles have died, does that upset you or did you hate them because they were left leaning?

BBC hasn’t been fit for purpose for many years, it’s become a propaganda machine, alternately promoting and blanking stories to suit.

If we leave will France still allow uk to enforce uk border controls on French soil ? Or will border controls only be enforced on uk soil?

What difference does it make when the bleeding heart, more like revolutionary takeover, socialists want them all here and given social security rights and won’t allow them to be sent home from either side of the channel.Which is what’s attracting them.

As for the border controls in France they’ve got nothing to do with the EU and we managed just fine before 1973 anyway. :unamused:

Im a socialist but don’t support champagne socialists and I can tell you carryfast none of us true socialists want them either and we are all voting to leave

You mean in the hey day of Euro Asian road transport operations. :unamused: More like the ones coming here now to take over Europe are the descendants of those who were too busy trying to help their commy Russian allies wipe Israel off the map then.

Meanwhile feel free to define your idea of ‘left’.I won’t hold my breath waiting for an answer.

I ‘thought’ I was a true Socialist too.Until I realised that Shore and Heffer were actually Nationalists but they just didn’t realise it. :bulb:

I never knew Russia attacked Israel, was this before the 70’s?

I still stuck to my previous assertion you are stuck in a by gone era, a golden age that only exists in your head. Regardless of the result on thursday you will have to come to terms with the fact the world has changed. What year is it carry?

Russia effectively attacked Israel by proxy in the form of arms supplies to the Arabs and ‘military advisors’.Both in 1967 and 1973.Did they teach you history at school or only the Socialist version of history.

You’re the one who said that there was no way of getting to Europe from Asia in the 1970’s.

As for the world has changed. The definition and result of an unsustainable trade deficit and Federalist rule by a bunch European Communists remains the same.

I’ve heard both sides say the illegal immirgrant problem in Calais will be worse if you vote for the otherside, but I don’t think it will change either way, various French politicians have threatened to tear up the agreement over the years, but it always seems to be a bit of hard talking for the benefit of their own voters, than a genuine threat.

But you never know that what makes leaving far more exciting than staying.

No I didn’t say there was no way I said it’s easier now. Are you suggesting that travel was easier in the 70’s than today?

Also as I went to school in the 80’s si the 70’s would not have been covered in history class. Also as I went to a mainstream school we tended not to study the things that tin foil hat wearers seem to think are important. Anyway carry what year is it?

If you’re talking about travelling in the back of a truck between Asia and Northern Europe it was obviously logistically easier in the 1970’s with more choice for stowaways. But far less porous borders. But as I said the Arabs were more interested in taking out Israel then anyway.Having now gone for the predictable alternative of infiltrating Europe instead. :unamused:

As for the tin foil hat comment. As I said the Socialist version of history.

The BBC doesn’t support UKIP. Calais makes Farage look good.

Accidental medium-interest posters released on last thursday morning - have been pumped up to make Farage look bad - even nearly a week on…

I reckon Farage has backed out of the C4 debate tonight - because he’s been advised to by the rest of the Leave campaign. They are probably right. The left has rendered Farage Toxic as of last thursday. WE all know it’s spin, lies, ■■■■■■■■, and defamation of Farage - but there are enough weak-minded people among the public who’ll go for all the crap, and let it affect what little judgement they thought they once had.

Remain’s arguments don’t seem to be including the “Calais Issue” right now either. No prizes THERE then.! :unamused:

There was a story rolled out today about the Conservative Thanet South MP being in receipt of death threats…
What about the other 108 death threats upon other MPs around the country just this week FFS?
No one is talking about those - because they are not the seat that Farage tried to win last year.

I watched that and it wasn’t a debate but just a lot of people shouting over each other with Paxman asking various Z list celebrities asinine questions. You then had someone in the audience who was apparently a singer bleating on about protection for song writers if we left the EU. She sounded a bit mental so I was glad when Paxman finally turned his back on her.

If Farage had turned up the whole programme would have been just people shouting at him about that poster.

The programme was so bad that Katie Price managed to sum it up the best - “I’m more confused now after listening to this than I was when I arrived.”

Not worthy of Paxman by a very long shot.

On another note be careful if transiten calais this week, came through in the early hours of Tues the immigrants made light work of the security fence. An Irish driver had a knife held to his throat while filling at the total just of j3. There getting desperate they think they won’t get in after the referendum.

Well at least one news source is reporting on calais Calais ‘Jungle’ migrants block motorway in violent confrontation with French police — RT World News

It would seem that the frogs stopping the do gooders failed to stop these morons who should be shot british or not they have betrayed the people of this country by assisting these criminal gangs enter the uk illegally

At 5.30 last Saturday morning they was putting rubbish across the road so truck have to q then the little darlings come running at trucks push mirrors in and within seconds they was on top of the trailers roof cut and they was in

hope they get some driver who doesn’t give a F**** one day, who drops the loaded trailer on motorway and set’s it on fire with Taliban inside it, it’s either the tables get turned at calais or we boycott using it and that crappy train

Anyone who stops anywhere near Calais is asking for trouble, especially just to top up the tanks. Last stop for us is champagne services and straight through.

They have extended the fence up to the first bridge.

Although once the new rail terminal is finished they will just be able to catch the train into the port.

It’s about time tear gas was swapped for something that stings a bit more.

Not Calais’s problem very soon.
The mayor has confirmed yesterday that it’s time the border was policed in the UK, not France. So no security or searches of vehicles etc, until they arrive in Kent.

Excellent News! We can now employ more people on security duties in Kent. And the Gov can buy some land for holding pens and fencing in the illegal immigrants they catch. We wont need big pens as well just charter a coupla planes to send them. . . somewhere. Well work out where later. So more employment, land and housing prices increase, no need to look at queuing trucks as the roads will be obscured by the new "stalags", and the Kentish people will be well impressed with it all. Wont make much of a hole in that £350million will it? Oh, except there is no £350m, so just increase our taxes then. Great, that is too. More work for tax collectors. Lovin It.
