I have the pleasure of driving a 63 reg daf . While.my 19 plates in for an MOT .
And noticed basiaclly the interior layout etc is the same . Apart from few buttons on steering wheel…all same 2 tone grey black colour.
Still has stupid huge tray /cup holder thing in the middle. And still same stupid radio.
In 6 years it hasn’t really changed.
Maybe been same layout for.longer?
When are daf going to update there Interior add bit of colour like the yellow /beige of a man.and god sakes fit a decent radio that will play music via Bluetooth and a dab radio…
Are other truck interiors the same for years on end? As only ever drove dafs and a man

although eventually (2014 I think?) they finally though drivers may wish to put their coffee in a holder on the centre console instead of the drivers door with the dust and dirt in the foot well blowing around it and splashing coffee up the door card every time you shut it [emoji849]
I’d happily go back to the early blue colour scheme with more overhead storage space.
The later cabs have better under bed arrangements and no quarter lights in door glass, but otherwise are stupid.
Do prefer the heater in this 13 reg compared to my normal 19 reg. This one’s simple huge dials and hot or cold.
My normal truck is all digital shows temp in degrees then 4 lines I think and a max setting unless im using it wrong either goes red hot or cold nothing much in-between really

I’m sure a woke makeover will be in the pipeline as we speak. Probably with nice soft furnishings and rainbow curtains lol

There is a whole new tractor unit out, have you been living the life of a hermit or something as it has been mentioned a bit?

Have heard of it haven’t had the pleasure of being in one.
So guessing it has a well deserved makeover on the interior . Instead of same stlye that’s been around for about 10 years.

My theory is (due to their being a couple of blank buttons on my night heater) that these new ones have an option for an Auto button (presumably other blanks maybe for a aircon pod?) which will vary the fan speed to keep it at say 22c as this is what my car climate control does. It seems these trucks blow boiling air till it gets to 22c then blows freezing until it goes under 22c again

Cab interiors never bothered me that much after some of the early trucks I drove. Always more interested in how they went.
Drove a Leyland Roadtrain that went like stink.
I think I saw a new DAF the other day that had camera mirrors! Did I?
Anyway, I’ve just swapped from a year old Renault T to a 16 plate xf ssc. If you think the radio is stupid on the DAF just try the Renault ones without a dedicated display!!! Stupidest idea ever!
Our trucks are on hire/leased from MV commercials who I personally don’t think are best company ever. As say they buy use basic models to maximise there profits

The DAF XG+ has the best truck interior ever made. Funny how the news has passed you by youtu.be/Odff6uMe2KE
Thats quite a big statement to make, what do you mean by it? Are you talking about the technology side or the space and layout? Have to say when it comes to truck interiors the best I have found is my current unit which is the Volvo FH, to be honest have never really found a massive difference in any truck interior that I have driven. Just genuinely interested in your comment as the best interior ever.

Everything. Space, design, build quality. When running down to see the DAF I never expected that I’d come away with that opinion, I’ve never been a fan of the XF but now if I was told to spec my dream truck it’s a DAF XG+. It’s in a league of its own right now and I can see it turning many Volvo and Scania die-hard heads. I mean look at the size of the cab! It’s insane!
