Most peoples thoughts on those two are the other way round. Almost never hear anyone complain about a DAF from a living space point of view
The DAF XG is the first cab to take advantage of the new EU regs regarding vehicle dimensions. I guess the other makers will be bringing out bigger cabs soon-ish.
Having said that, the Super Space Cabs were always very spacious, roomy to live in, and easy to work with in the real world.
I`m not one for soft light coloured fabrics that (might) look good, but are dust and muck traps. Give me summat that is easy to wipe over or put a hose in occasionally.
It`s a truck, not a boudoir or a sound studio.

Are you sure about that. The Actros is one of the worst trucks in ride quality. I was given a new Mirror cam i handed it back and got a DAF instead.

Bunk is streets ahead but theres a lot of wasted space.
Cant fold the steering wheel flat in the Daf unlike the Merc, stupid button to adjust it, can only adjust the air ride by the remote unit not the dash controls, no flat floor (personal choice thing) , no coat pegs, locker doors with no stays, no central dash cupboard for notebook storage, plug sockets located meaning wires all over the bit unless you start unscrewing the dash, rain drips into the cab when the doors open, warning lights never off.
Considering its size iv had to keep half my kit on the top bunk compared to being stored away in the Merc and it was only a standard big space Merc. Catwalk houses half the locker kit as well.
DAF (106) is a better overall truck by far but the Merc cab is ten fold better thought out and more storage. As said the new DAF hopefully brings it more up to date.
