Ahhh nick gutted for ya fella…
I knew I’d failed on my drive when I ■■■■ up at that box junction down road from PSTT…who was your examiner?
Next time fella you’ll nail it I’m sure…
I had Pete, lovely guy and looked genuinely gutted for me lol
I’ll get it next time!
Ye mate for sure, I’m pretty sure I saw you around the yard when I was taking mine…
Don’t give up on it!!..
I was the fat dopey looking idiot in the yellow artic lol was in Tuesday to Friday last week with Dave, probably had my ridiculous green sunglasses on haha
And I was the shaven headed stocky (fat) lad in big beauty lol…
Chill Nick. I have endured/enjoyed 5 LGV tests. Passed C on the fourth attempt and CE on the first.
National pass average is around 50%. So I was ’ expecting ’ to have 4 tests anyway. What’s an extra test between friends?? It’s no big deal mate, all part of the journey.
I wouldn’t mind failing if it had been minors, just hated failing because of nerves and doing the ■■■■■■■■ reverse is ever done lol! I’ll get there in the end, booking retest soon
U bellend Nick!!!
I was expecting to open this thread and see that you had sailed through it…
So I’m sorry to hear you failed mate, and you HAVE to get straight back on a bender, and I don’t mean getting drunk!
It would have been good if you could have done the examination drive, but I completely understand that your head wasn’t in the right place for it after you knew you’d blown it! But enough sympathy and understanding, as it’s not in my nature!
So I’ll return to normal form and say I blame Dave!

Never ventured down to London in a Lorry. Don’t want to yet either! There’s nothing wrong with rigids, I just don’t want to drive them lolLondon anit so bad, its just full of Southerners…
Watch it matey!
And anyway, come to Southampton, it’s full of Notherners!
Why is that?
Dave was spot on all week mate, let him down with that one to be honest lol
I’m going to book the retest once I’ve started work at the airport so I can work something round them. Really ■■■■■■ off at myself at the time as its destroyed the mild confidence Dave had built lol

I lived in the centre of Southampton for 3 years. That’s enough for me.
So sorry to hear you failed Nick…
I failed my cat C 3 weeks ago and I was gutted! Nerves also got the better of me and I fluffed up on a keep clear by a junction just after leaving the test centre… Did not think I would clear it and braked harshly to stop in front of it and failed! Unfortunately I don’t feel my examiner did much to calm my nerves… I was a wreck. Never been so nervous before…
I have not found a cure for this yet… But keep telling myself it’s only a test and a means to end and everyone passes at some point… I booked a retest before I left PSTT that day and will be back there soon… Determined to pass my CPC mod 4 and my test that wek and walk out of their as a new driver…
For me it was really hard failing too as I have worked lined up and I knew it was a massive delay in my plans. But get back on the horse and rebook as soon as you know what’s happening with work… Good luck with the new job and the retest.
At least you got out of the yard lol
My examiner was a great guy, tried to put me at ease from the start which did help a bit but I still ended up going to pieces.
I like the way Dave describes the word Fail - first attempt in learning!
It’s true though, the fact you have work lined up etc puts a bigger strain on you. I thought the fact that I wasn’t relying on a pass this time would help and I suppose it did, but still I let it beat me this time. I won’t next time though!

Not true, nerves, nerves, and nerves!!!
I BELIEVE many a good driver fails because of this!
Yet you could get a complete nightmare driver pass who can’t drive a broom, and don’t even realise…
I’ve had the same one for years, just 7 new heads and 5 new handles!
Just catching up on the posts, its never ending lol,
Bad luck nick, im sure next time you will be fine bud,
I was a bit nervy on my C but was ok in the end, maybe try wagon and drag, then get some time in the artic afterwards ? im still deciding either way myself but thinking towards w+d as I think if it gives me an advantage then im going to take it and not make it harder than it needs to be as the general consensus is that its a bit easier, its all about the pass after all,
But I do really want to get the artic out on the road just need to restrain myself,
Maybe ill have an assessment in both before making the decision, prob the best option,
ok now im just talking to myself …
I’m listening VAN driver?
You will get conflicting advice about W+D or Artic…
Pick the one you feel drawn to, as that way, when you screw the reverse the first time, you’ll only have yourself to blame!
Best of luck!
