Today I passed C+E in Heathrow area. Got a clean sheet. Lady luck was with me.
I have to give good word to Wallace School of Transport and Les my driving instructor.
Also Thx to a brand new DAF 1 week old unit with 1000 miles on the clock.
One scare moment: after uncouple, lorry refused to start indicating engine failure. Scary moment. I took the keys out, 1 minute later it started. ( got a kick into back tyre for bad behavior)
Now time to relax, gona have a drink or two and off to france for 1 week ski holiday.
Are you sure TJ? The cab is a DAF LF which are usually anything between 7.5T and 18T. We have a few 18T LF’s at our place and the wheels are much bigger on ours. I think its either 7.5T or 10Tish.
Cheers Dan. Are you reg’d with any agencies or do you have any class 1 work lined up?
Only reason I am asking is,how do you think you would cope with a manual 44T artic? Are you gonna do any extra training or would you take an opportunity on an artic and crack on with it?
I agree with you Paul, could wll be 12T. No way its an 18 Tonner. No disrespect to Dan whatsoever. I just think to jump into a 12T DAF LF auto with a drag is a world away from a 52’ long artic manual. I hope accident rates don’t go up as a result of this crazy situation. Has any one noticed the ‘slogan’ on the trailer, nicely tucked under a pic of a DAF XF artic. Maybe im just being cynical.
