Busy Mr Trump

I see. So you decided to answer CAV’s post by replying to me.

I don’t know why you’re surprised. He did use to work for a parcels company after all. It wasn’t his fault, the post was simply mis-routed :grinning:

While some bacterial vaccines were developed during the 1918-1919 pandemic, they were likely ineffective because the pneumococcal bacteria come in many serotypes, and only one type is a major pathogen, and the bacterial vaccines did not account for that.

so there were vaccines as such just they didnt understand what the influenza virus was

too bad you didnt spend 10 seconds reserching that huh

The headline is that Kennedy is claiming that it was these vaccines that caused the pandemic. Too bad you didn’t read it properly huh.

Firstly you seemed to be agreeing with CAV’s idea that the US cab over (engine) and conventional descriptors are invalid when the terms have both rightly also been commonly used by the UK truck manufacturing industry and trade press going back decades.
It would also appear that CAV’s irrational objections to American society and by implication anything American in general, not to mention defending the laughable European trade barriers against US imports, bring a reply of insanity against me not him.

Knowledgeable enough to know that Argentina lost the Falklands War because they ran out of Exocets and Etandard maintenance back up from France. Not because the Navy and its Harriers was able to stop them.

Define ‘acted’ when going to war against Argentina over the Falklands, was always going to be the same high risk ( of losing ) situation if/whenever they chose to ‘act’, since the scrapping of our aircraft carrier capability and Argentina taking advantage of that by procuring a long range, land based, air power anti ship capability long before 1982.
It just took someone as stupid as Maggie to see a political advantage in the idea.IE a too stupid and a too late spur of the moment idea to have been planned by any military naval strategist over the long term.
She ordered it at the last moment and Woodward’s private words were probably more along the lines of oh zb were gonna lose this, than let’s go get 'em.

Another thread derailed - where is nurse when you need her ??

  1. Do you seriously need me to tell you what the term “acted” means? You know exactly what I meant and your just trolling with that one.

  2. Making sure that you have enough materiel to do the job is pretty much a crucial part of any military planning. They ran out of Exocets because we stopped them getting further supplies.

  3. So you agree that Thatcher took political advantage of the situation then.

  4. I’m assuming here that you are saying that the Argentinians were stupid but it’s difficult to be sure as you are tagging it on to a statement about Thatcher.

  5. She may have authorised it at the last moment but the navy had been preparing for action for some time beforehand. Look at the timeline I outlined. It would have been impossible to organise a task force and arrange the STUFT (ships taken up from trade) in such a short period of time. If you think that the Admiralty waited for the go ahead from Thatcher before putting their plans into action then you’re even stupider than I thought.

  6. Your last comment about Woodward’s private words. I have to assume that you meant his private thoughts, not words (you really need to proof read anything you write to make sure that you’re not sowing confusion in the mind of the reader - unless of course that is your aim, in which case you are spectacularly successful). No admiral that I ever worked for (and I worked for a few) would ever have said anything like that. Quite frankly your comment is a disgrace but I would expect nothing less from someone who’s idea of serving is probably when the waiter brings your meal to the table.

Keep you’re stupid comments coming, I’ve got very little to do for the next few hours. But remember, you should never take a knife to a gun fight.

My daughter is studying for a degree in Psychology at the moment. I might suggest she uses his ramblings as part of her thesis.

and if you bothered to do research you would know that is correct as well… as people wernt quantined untill it was found the vaccine didnt work.

again 10 seconds research saves you looking like the fool that your trying to make me look

You’ll need to explain that one mate…assuming you mean me, but it’s gone right over my swede.

Yeah I agree,.schools and education has been dumbed down due to wishy washy methods by the left.
They don’t even do a 1st and 2nd or winner and loser system in school sports in case the delicate little souls are offended or upset…that is REALLY going to prepare them for a harsh world in adulthood eh?

The ‘envy’ thing is human nature, the positive side of it is it breeds aspiration and ambition.

As for the ‘i’m alright jack’ part,…
What is the alternative when nobody will back you up,?
So looking after no1 is the only way…(being in this industry which is a classic example for one, you should know that better than most.)

I think we have tbh, presently and in the past our fair share, mainly from the radical Islamist fraternity.
But in some idiot’s eyes that statement will make me a ‘racist’ for daring to say it.
Jeez I was called a racist over my own kind white people, who practised Islam with more vigour than the intended target…by one absolute balloon on here…stillnot sute how that one works.:joy:

Maybe they should be when most scrotes involved heavily in drugs are, and many of the low lives carry knives routinely.

What is wrong with patriotism exactly?
In this country you would more than likely be told to take it down in fear of the old ‘causing offence’ chestnut anyway.

No it’s the UK which is in if not an in equal cluster ■■■■, maybe a bigger one.

I was commenting on the headline. This pandemic wasn’t caused by vaccine’s. The virus was well established before the vaccine’s you mention as being developed during the 1918-19 period.

This is a reference to the outbreaks documented in Aldershot:

" The Aldershot physicians later wrote in The Lancet , “the influenza pneumococcal purulent bronchitis we and others described in 1916 and 1917 is fundamentally the same condition as the influenza of this present pandemic”

I agree that the claim the vaccine’s weren’t introduced until the 1930’s is inaccurate though so at least that’s something we can agree on - hopefully.

Is that okay for you.

It’s a pity you didn’t put your brain in gear to read that the influenza virus was identified in the 1930’s & it was then the influenza virus was manufactured. History of influenza vaccination

oh im sorry i mistakenly thought you had basic comprehension skills … mind you if you did you wouldnt bang on about trump and ev’s so much

Who are you replying to, there’s lots of us thicko’s on here :grinning:

Ha! Get bent, What’s up? Can’t twist the words to what that caption shows?, you know It said FLU short for influenza not bacterial;or pneumococcal or pathogens, so if the influenza virus wasn’t identified until the 1930s how could it have been around in 1916-18?

He’s all pants & no trousers.

That’s my dog you’re describing after a long walk
