There’s a few things don’t quite add up Putin’s in bed with Nth Korea, Iran and China. Trump threatens Iran with extinction should they take a pop at him, South Korea hugely backed with American support, China with a stranglehold(trade surplus) over USA. Yes it does seem that Vlad has an ace up his sleeve that Donald knows about, could get get stormy again.
Which is obviously why high flying businessmen and politicians are never, ever, caught in sex scandals, drugs, or financial wrong doings.
but if Trump was THAT naive and stupid to fall for it, he would not have become as succesful as he has in both buisness and politics,

There just seems to be quite a few ott emotions on this thread,.rather amusing tbh, and a great degree of naivety in thinking buisnessmen are straight down the middle models of society.…fact is they aint, it’s every man for himself and dog eat dog.
On a smaller scale I went bust 2x, once not my fault, the other a tactical move…ok no2 it did not go according to plan, but that’s life I accept that.
I know of at least 3 local other owner drivers who did similar, and have spent their lives ‘going bust’ and moving on again…all 3 much better off financially than me I hasten to add.
Real life/real world aint all about honour and integrity…Sadly, tge more astute amongst us just accept that, wilinglly or otherwise.

OK, we don’t know if trump has a thing for hookers. But reflect on all the crass things he has said over the decades, like "grab them by the 
" and that slightly troubling comment about his own daughter. Makes it more likely than not. Narcissists like trump think they are untouchable, that bad things won’t happen, that there are never consequences for taking risks. His personality as demonstrated by his repeated public behaviour confirms his lack of common sense and risk management. It’s not been a few rare mistakes under duress, but an enduring pattern of behaviour.
A business person, let alone a president has to have some filter. ( Remember Jim Ratner ruining his own golden goose) Kim Jong Un, Putin and the Iranians are all a little unhinged. So a president quick to retort and slow to think, in control of a large nuclear arsenal, is kinda spark in tinder dry kindling. I think putin is sufficiently deranged that if he seriously thought the US was going to bomb them, he’d bomb as quick as he could simply to feel the twisted psychopathic satisfaction of having destroyed his enemy even as his own world burned.
But you say, trump is successful and managed to win the top job not once but twice. Yeah. Not mere thousands, or even a few millions, but billions of dollars were spent last year by both sides. Not much of that came from the two main candidates pockets, but their backers. Backers like owners of big businesses who stood to gain a great deal if their preferred candidate was elected. Politics is dirty, always has been.
Ah but equally you could argue that decades of normal diplomacy has failed to stop us reaching this point anyway. Absolutely true. But why. Because the real power isn’t the president despite all the hot air, it’s always been behind the seat. Those big donors want policy that suits their business. And it’s not just the top job, the senators and representatives, many of them are elected after “fully funded” campaigns.
Obama didn’t get half the things done he wanted to, because he didn’t have that power base like trump now has. Trump - and hence his puppet master - have control of both chambers, and effectively of the supreme court. Trump would have to be stupid to fail to get most of what he wants done, done. He’s shooting fish in a barrel with a pump action shotgun. But the real question is exactly who is pulling his strings. Obvious answer is musk, but like trump, musk too is a rotten businessman who was handed a fortune and has repeatedly stumbled only for others to help him back up. So I wonder, who pulls musk’s strings.

No way is trump anything like either Smith or O’Brien. He’s more like Comrade Ogilvy, surprisingly enough. Ogilvy is invented hero, so too is trump - invented first by his father who gave him a fortune, then by his backers who have repeatedly invested in him, and finally by 50% of the electors who clapped and cheered Ogilvy/Trump until he became god.
As an instrument of the party, quite literally, Trump is telling the people, heck not just his own, but europe and Ukraine, that 2 + 2 does equal 5.
He’s telling them the chocolate ration increased to 20 grams from 30 grams. Just as US citizens are finding out at the grocery stores looking at their receipts that show trump’s new math’s at work.
I can imagine that some trump supporters really will be standing there looking at the total and seeing, truly seeing a much lower figure, because their god has told them prices will fall.

the other reason I didn’t stay in the US (besides the ex divorcing me) a healthy dislike for guns and bombs. We can argue on a forum, beef about whether elon and co are nice guys or satanists. But resorting to fisticuffs and bullets is so un-english.
That’s why trump’s lack of a filter, and aversion to the truth, is so dangerous over there. They’re not flicking their handkerchiefs in someone’s face saying “sir, you insult me” It’s gonna turn into a blood bath soon, as the real costs of trumponomics kicks in for the majority working class.
