Busy Mr Trump

For those interested in the “big beautiful bill” the US Congressional Budget Office has made a study of it. It is reported here in the NYT.

Costs over ten years there will be cut in income of about 5 trillion$ in taxes. Spending will increase a bit on defence, homeland security.
Savings over the same period, about 2.5 trillion on medical aid, green energy, education food for the poor, etc.

So, in rough figures, about 2.5t$ greater debt in order to make the rich richer, and the poor poorer.

You’re flogging a dead horse here @franglais but I admire your stamina.

I know…especially since it has now been revealed that I am discussing matters with a spokesman for the UK.

for those that need more proof of the evils of the idf

oh wait riga mortice doesnt make you sit up and scratch your foot

I wonder what the US will say to the latest news?

Will Trump make excuses for his buddy Putain?
Just some more of that spare WW1 gas that was lying around?
The Ukrainians are poisoning themselves? (That will be a CF “false flag” idea)
The Dutch are communist agitators? Or the Dutch are fascist agitators?

@Franglais.
All this disproportionate pent up emotion, hatred and anger you feel the need to display over the goings on in a foreign country with a foreign president, is there a deeper meaning, or a deeper motive here?

You are very conspicuous by your absence on the political thread lately, very bizzare for a bloke who was virtually never off it once over, dishing out negativity to the point of gloating, about the actions inactions, and incompetence of the govt of the day and it’s leader…Boris and the Tories.

That absence particularly bizzare when we have an equally…(some would say more) incompetent govt in power today,.with loads of potentiial '‘milage’ to discuss and point out pitfalls…
But no, you turn your political critique towards Trump as some sort of deflection.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Is all this bile towards the US and Trump a kind of ‘‘Discontent by proxy’’ where you can not bring yourself to criticise a govt who are directly in line with your own politics…an incapability of admitting you could have been wrong after all …is your role as useful idiot superceding your conscience.
Even I asan exTory voter gave it to them when they deserved it, but I aint some kind of political lap dog for a particular party or type of party, if I rightly or wrongly think theywill do good…I vote for them whatever their colours.

Go on let yourself go…admit it, get on the political thread and admit to what virtually everybody in OUR country can see.
Or.. ..

Carry on about Trump and his asbestos.:joy::joy:

its worse than that … he moans about trump with false information yet when starmer does the same thing nothing said.

Has Trump blamed Biden yet for the floods in Texas

nope nor anything else other than his compleate incompentance.

however starmer has blamed russia the far right the conservatives and everyone else but himself.

What’s Starmer got to do with my comment? I’ve never hidden my distaste for the man on here. I’m remarking that everything bad that seems to happen is getting blamed on either Biden or the Democrats.

A full explanation of mr trumps bill
Its like reading how to play monopoly
Its eye watering the cost of building his Mexican wall

You think 46 billion for a wall that stretches 3145 km is bad…that works out at 14,626,391 per km and will work

Starmer has given over 650 million to the french to gaurd 35 km of coast line. Works out at 18,571,428 per km. 4 million more and doesnt work

Well if that was true rather than making your self look daft toeing the leftie line and failing to tear down somone that is rebuildng their country. Maybe focus your energies on improving this country

What is it that’s not true? Not being facetious, I genuinely don’t understand your reply.

To try and untangle some of that.
The US / Mexico border is indeed about 3,100km, but about 2,000km of that is the Rio Grande river and not many suggest that a wall is necessary all along that.
Since some wall already exists the $46 billion will not be building all of it from scratch. Maybe 1,000km of extra wall will be built?
In areas of desert there are detectors and patrols intercept illegal migrants. Cheaper than walls. MSN

The cost of building the wall is not the cost of patrolling it etc.
What the UK pays France for Police is not the same sort of expenditure as paying a builder.
CNN report that Trump has spent an extra $300million on patrols in 6 weeks this year. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/29/politics/trump-southern-border-military-mission-cost

Well at least trump is not giving away the taxpayers money to a foreign country
It would be cheaper to just put a few patrols on the line between the 2 countries in the ocean and turn them around
Let the frogs take responsibility for them and pay them nothing

Season 1  :united_states:

Elon musk announced he’s to start a new party. The America Party

Wonder if this will actually happen or if he’s just been at the ketamine again
