I remember at the time it seemed odd as his resignation came out of the blue. I know he had dementia later but I’m sure I read (or heard) somewhere that he knew about it and went before he got pushed.

The an interview with a US official about Trump’s visit to the Middle East and his “plans for peace”.
Trump’s spokesman was the “interesting character” Sebastian Gorka.
I suggest that anyone who is interested in these things both listens to “the interview” and also looks at his profile online at your preferred source.

And having just heard the end of the programme the presenter Sarah Montague that there had been a lot of reaction to the piece, and that some commented that the Gorka should not have been given airtime. She did comment that he is a member of Trump’s team.
Maybe he had been pre.warned about the notorious and blatant left wing bias of the BBC and was prepared for it on the back foot.
Maybe he did not want to be caught in the conversational trap to undermine Trump and the US.

Smart arse lefty interviewer trying to lead him and undermine him, a bit cleverer interviewee prepared for it and having none of it…and a tad abrasive with it.

Firstly I heard him say that the Israelis were delivering “gargantuan amounts of food, multiples of the amount needed etc” Yet we have heard from many different sources both sides of the border, that Gazans are malnourished and now starving. He is exaggerating even the Israeli’s own claims. “There are factors more food going into Gaza than can be eaten by the population”.
Montague tries to give an alternative view, (that is what interviews are for to challenge and question representatives, not just suck up to them) just to have him bluster about terminating the interview.
I heard a gobby man shout down legitimate attempts at asking relevant questions.
I heard someone whose job it is to talk for Trump flatly refuse to answer open questions. Waste of time. Someone interested in making a statement but not having it challenged.
I heard some one who might think being interviewed by a sycophant is too much stress.
