Very good and interesting documentary about LT’s RT: youtube.com/watch?v=9Ql5yAFByYg

I always loved the sound of the AEC diesels. Magic.

Me too - those IVECO/ ■■■■■■■ re-engined RMs never sounded right to me.

I think some had Scania engines fitted too.

All three buses are Leylands a Newport Atlantean in green, no mistaking the middle one and the far one is a PD2/A or 3A with St Helens front.
Cheers Leyland 600.

‘I told you. its still not straight.’!
A unidentified MCW of WMPTE (though someone in the know may be able to identify it via the Fleet No).
seems to be in the way of a hapless motorist attempting to reverse his caravan in a straight line.!
(No, i’m not laughing, we have all been there.)

ps. LOA 342X. Thanks to Dennis Javelin.

This Ribble Leyland PD3, fleet number 1728, is seen on the A59 road at Aintree in Liverpool in 1978.

The company got their moneys worth of this reliable model, this one was new about 1960/1961.

I drove several of these PD3 Leylands during my 2 years with Ribble Motor Services from early 1968.
